His face is locked in my mind,
A haunting image I can’t leave behind.
The sweetness of him still in my heart,
A love that rips me apart.

I try to clean him from my soul,
But his shadow takes its toll.
I want to forget, to break free,
But he’s the nightmare that won’t let me be.

Every thought of him feels like a scream,
A broken dream that shatters my being.
I’m trapped in his memory, can’t escape the pain,
Scared to let him go, yet I drown in the strain.
