A poem about something we all seek.
It does not bid me dream
nor call me sweet to its side
dulcet tones, whisper-soft
so light I can barely hear
'til wings have already flown;
all I have are feather-bits
and echoes from yesterday's wind.

The title is a reference to the theme of the poem as well as an homage to Emily Dickinson, one of my favorite poets.
