It was a soothing chilly night in Woodland Village, where Aurora the wolf was up much later than usual. Normally, she’d be asleep, with the only variation being whether or not it was a food coma from too much chicken. This time, though, she was the one vibrating with excitement, instead of her much more energetic girlfriend, Foxy. Aurora was about to go on her first spelunking adventure, though only by herself, thinking a solo cave adventure would be therapeutic. After all, the cave she was going to venture into was not far away from Woodland Village, where the forest was relatively peaceful outside of the nomadic lunatics running around causing havoc when and where they pleased. Really, she’d only have hunger, thirst, and light to worry about, assuming the lunatics weren’t on the prowl. (They only prowl every other day most of the time.) Aurora was now quadruple checking her cave exploration kit, which screamed beginner. All it had was the essentials for survival, but not necessarily within caves. It was just plenty of chicken, bread, water, her ax, and five torch kits. Aurora tip-toed up the stairs back to bed to hopefully get some sleep, but the creaking of the stairs under her 300-ish pound (136-ish kilogram) frame, alerted Foxy, who was on a late night bathroom trip. She came out armed and ready, only to discover her girlfriend traveling upstairs.
