The Headquarters of the Galactic Council was a massive space station built to house all council members and their families during important matters of collective state. It was several interlocking rings and numerous docking bays to accommodate diplomats and council members.

The main council chambers is a spherical vessel which serves as a peacekeeping and defense force for the worlds of the Council. It docks in the center of the space station.

The Chamber is round with seating all around for several levels. A raised podium in the center was were the elected speaker of the council stood to address all representatives of all worlds. It was also for those who must stand before the council for either praise or reprimand. Each seat was custom made to suit the representative assigned to said chair. Each word spoken was clearly heard and translated by all. Holographic displays showed the agendas for the day, the concerns of other words and even the lunch menu.

Every representative has a clear view of all the others and the one at the podium. The lights are kept low as meetings are in session but a spotlight is always on the podium or on the one representative given the floor to speak. To catch the attention of the speaker, a representative presses a button and the light shines upon him or her. Rules of etiquette is fiercely enforced and those who continuously break them will be removed and one of his or her aides will take the spot. These rules are similar to The United Nations with the flare of The British Parliament.

Specially modified air filters do well to nullify bodily odors of several dozen different species. From a sweet perfume to an almond musk to that of an Earth skunk that had died in one’s shoe. All these at once in one chamber can overwhelm the senses of any species. Instead, each only smell their own scent and the sanitized air of the vessel and station. Occasionally, workers, diplomats, visitors and representatives alike catch a whiff of the meals being prepared in the massive kitchen. Alien delights such as smoked giant boar, candied worms, thorn wheat flatbread and so much more. This would increase moral and appetites as the smells alone literally melt in their collective mouths.

All worlds within the council are welcome to the space station upon getting clearance from the onboard security personnel.
