In the Evening

In the evening,when all is dark,

The stars come out to shine,

The owl hoots above ,

While critters lurk below.



The streetlamps light the pave-d paths,

To the town's abodes,

All work is done for the day,

As people head for home.


The moon is nestled behind the clouds,

As the wind blows on by,

It's nice to sit here on my perch,

And watch the fireflies.



Soon,it will be time to rest,

Myself,nestled in my bed,

Another evening will have passed,

To greet another morn.
