A poetic look at a favorite color range
“Blue” refers to sadness, for one not in the pink.
Blue movies make some happy, but don't ask me how I knew.
They say blue skies are happy skies. Confusing, don't you think?
A blue moon can be good or bad, depending on your view.

Seeing red means angry, something we should never be.
And anyone who's in the pink is feeling pretty well.
Strawberries are tasty, as are apples off the tree.
And cherry pie is wonderful, to taste or just to smell.

Red and blue together make a pleasant purple tone,
such as lavender or violet, depending on the blend.
I've always liked the purples more than blue or red alone.
Any mix of those two is my multicolored friend.
