A fantastic life and profession

At this point you might have heard the news that Susan Wojcicki has died following two years of living with cellular breakdown in the lungs. Indeed, even as I compose this it feels difficult to me that it's valid. Susan was quite possibly of the most dynamic and lively individual I have at any point met. Her misfortune is crushing for us all who know and love her, for the a great many Googlers she drove throughout the long term, and for a large number of individuals all around the world who admired her, profited from her backing and initiative, and felt the effect of the extraordinary things she made at Google, YouTube, and then some.

Susan's excursion, from the carport she leased to Larry and Sergey … to driving groups across shopper items and building our Advertisements business … to turning into the President of YouTube, one of the world's most huge stages, is motivating by any action. In any case, she didn't stop there. As one of the earliest Googlers - - and the first to take maternity pass on - - Susan utilized her situation to fabricate a superior working environment for everybody. Furthermore, in the years that followed, her support around parental leave set another norm for organizations all over. Susan was likewise profoundly enthusiastic about training. She understood from the get-go that YouTube could be a learning stage for the world and supported "edutubers" - - particularly the people who expanded the compass of STEM schooling to underserved networks.

Throughout recent years, even as she managed incredible individual hardships, Susan committed herself to improving the world through her charity, including supporting examination for the illness that at last ended her life. I realize that was extremely significant to her and I'm so happy she carved out opportunity to make it happen.

Susan generally put others first, both in her qualities and in the everyday. I will always remember her consideration to me as a planned "Noogler" a long time back. During my Google interview she took me out for a frozen yogurt and a stroll around grounds. I was sold - on Google and Susan.

I feel so lucky to have gone through such countless years working with Susan intently, as I'm certain a large number of you do - - she was totally cherished by her groups here. Her lifespan was unreasonably short, yet she made the most of each and every moment.

We're in close touch with Susan's family, including her better half and individual Googler, Dennis. We will share all the more soon about how we will praise her inconceivable life. Meanwhile, we should respect Susan's memory by proceeding to construct a Google she would be glad for.
