Caleb's peace is renewed by a quiet stream
The world continues to become louder and louder which in turn makes having a safe and quiet place even more important. Caleb finds his quiet place in a secluded hiking trail a simple 15 minute drive out of town. Such a beautiful place has no right in being so private, but somehow Caleb found a place that others have overlooked. It is never busy or crowded, but instead is so void of people and noise that peace and rest flow as easily as the creek the flows past the trail.

For Caleb even the drive to the quiet place has become therapy, his mind being able to anticipate the moments of solitude and reflection. The trail starts in a standard roadside parking area marked with 6 parking spots and an old long forgotten picnic table. the trailhead starts along a shallow lazy creek and the trail runs along the creek and crisscrosses its path 5 times over the course of a mile. Each fjord not more than a few inches deep, just enough to make the trail feel adventurous.

The remarkable thing about nature and the path is that with all the things that swirl around Caleb, all the unknowns in life, all the twists and turns of relationships and work the trail stays the same. The familiar foot falls, the sound of the creek, the small waterfalls and the trees overhead never change. the trail is the one constant that is the same everytime Caleb returns. The trail has seen and heard all that Caleb has gone through, all of his hopes, fears, tears, and the trail stays the same. The trail doesnt get louder, the trail doesn't blame or shame. The trail stays quiet and peaceful becokoining Caleb to breath deep, listen and and find peace within a loud world.

The world is build on rhythms, seasons, tides, seconds and we are built on rhythms, breaths, heartbeats, music. There is a rhytm in Calebs quietplace, where his rhytms and the streams rhthym meet/collide at his deepest core.
