What is normal - my thoughts on it
Conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected.
Definition of normal. Who judges what is “normal”?
Shouldn’t that judge be “above” what is “normal” in order to say that what is normal is really normal.
I never feel normal anymore. Actually I’m not sure if I’ve ever really felt normal.
Like is it normal to feel happiness in life without prescribed mediations or self medicating?
If it is then I guess I fall short of normal. It kind of makes you feel even worse when someone might say something is normal and you don’t have it in your life.
I really hate this word. It is such a judgmental word. If you ask me no one or nothing is normal. Because to one person what is normal might not be to the next person. So then that second person loses happiness or their sense of fitting in and being normal (if they had it to begin with) because now they think something is wrong with them.
We are all our own kind of normal.
The judging factor should really be if the normal is right or wrong.
A serial killer’s normal (to them and their life)is killing which is wrong (to a non killer). So then it is normal that most believe the normal thing is for the killer to be punished.
My normal is to not have happiness or peace of mind without prescriptions - is it right or wrong - I’m not hurting anyone so is it normal? To me it is normal.
This may seem like a circle of randomness that may not make sense.
But:
My point in all this - please be careful when using this word, it may hurt someone more than you may realize.
