Miles from Home

You can live in the same town for your entire life and still be miles from home. You’re not away from it because you travelled anywhere. You’re away from it because you miss the past and what your life was like.

I’ve been miles away from my home many times in my mind. My world had changed, and I no longer felt that I belonged anywhere.

Thankfully, I’ve come back home again, and I hope I never go away again.
