I had a very personal experience a couple of days ago,so I made a poem out of it. |
In the quiet shadows of the night, she stands alone A young woman, caught in a web of uncertainty Her heart was heavy with the weight of a life-changing decision To be a mother, to embrace the joy and the struggle Or to walk the path less taken, the path of fear and bravery A choice that will shape her destiny, her very existence Pregnancy, a gift or a burden, a blessing or a curse Her body a battlefield, her mind a storm of conflicting emotions The whispers of society, the judgment of others, a constant presence To carry life within her, to nurture and protect Or to end it before it begins, to face the consequences of her actions The choice is hers alone, a heavy burden to bear A murderer in the eyes of some, a mother in the eyes of others She walks the thin line between right and wrong, between love and loss Her heart was torn in two, her soul searching for answers In the end, she finds her courage, her strength, her voice To stand tall in the face of adversity, to embrace her truth To choose her path, to shape her destiny For in the end, she is not just a young woman She is a warrior, a survivor, a beacon of hope A testament to the power of choice, of bravery, of life. |
