"Why ya all dressing like that today? Ya know what day it is?"

"Yes, momma. I know what day it is. It's St. Patrick's Day. But I's not gonna do it."

"We had this talk before, ya know. Its tradition. Ya don't go against tradition in my house. Ya get yerself back upstairs and put on something decent. Now git!"

"Franny, ya ever hear of that? Not dressing like you should for today? It's a holiday, it is, Look at us, we are dressed up like we should. Didn't take us not extra time. Kiids these days have no resspekt for tradition-no respspekt."

"You know Ginny. She Never Wore Green. Never. Ever since she dressing herself, not a stitch of green on her. Maybe she allergic or something. I saw on a TV talk show Barbarella, where these kids wore all black because they said they were allergic to bright clothes. Maybe Ginny has them allergies to green. It has happened I bet."

"I dunno. I've seen her eat green popsicles and green cake frosting before without getting sick or dying. Also, ain't her eyes green? Wouldn't they have killed her by now if she was allergic to green?"

"I ain't no scientist; I just teach preschool, so don't ask me those things. Hey, maybe it's a psychological thing. Maybe a green snake or green spider bit her when she was just a baby. She ever get bit when she was a baby? "Well, the dog bit her once, and so did the cat, but that was because she bit them first. She ain't afraid of either of them. Can't say the same the same thing about how they feel about her, though; no, I just think she is being stubborn and a bratty b. ."

"Shush, her she comes."

"Is this any better?"

"You're not wearing green yet. You changed your clothes, but you changed into a yellow shirt with blue pants. Where is the green?"
