Jack The kindest man I ever knew, and to your values you were true. You were there when I was born, with my mother so forlorn. You took us into your home, and that basement I did roam. I was told of your good deeds, and you looked after our needs. In the mountains we fished, and on stars we wished. Oft to me the moon talked, onto your trick I never caught. To me your wisdom given, and all my wrongs forgiven. And you said someday I would, do this world a lot of good. Your friends called you Jack, and they all had your back. For you tirelessly served, your accolades well deserved. Then as a Lion and Mason, your right to heaven you did hasten. Humble from the very start, you possessed a servant's heart. And that kind heart I once saved, then my loss of leg you staved. By those deeds we were bound, and our loyalty well renowned. You always had my back, and tried to keep me on track. I set you free to gain your wings, although that sometimes still stings. You lived your life with grace, that time cannot erase. And your many life lessons, have now become obsessions. For you taught me to be true, and gave me a new view. Of a life that could be healing, and a joy that knows no ceiling. |
