2024 "dear me" letter.
Dear dearie dreary me.

Dear me,

Listen to my List of Five and heed it well.

1. Die.

Do you want to drop dead this year?
         I don't like that prediction.
Then keep moving and take care of yourself!
         I don'wanna...
See #1.

2. Plan.

Make a plan for the next two years.
         What are my options?
Make a plan A, a plan B and be happy; don't worry.
         I worry all the time.
See #1 and save yourself some trouble.

3. Remember.

You've survived worse before.
         What could be worse?
Remember 1972, 1974, 1986, 1988, 2003, 2005, need I say more?
         I was suicidal in 2003 and 2023.
Yep. Life is a series of cycles until it ends.
         How?
See #1.

4. Change.

Look... Lighten up.
         I've always been dead serious.
Time for a change.
         I don't like change.
Breathe in, breathe out, and "LET IT GO".
         And if I don't?
Wah, wah, wah. See #1.

5. Write.

Write daily about your journey.
         About what?
Doesn't matter. Oh — and keep track.
         How?
Ask Phyllis. Or just make a daily commitment and tell Phyllis how you are doing.
         Why bother?
Bad habits, like writing, can be instilled as easily as good habits.
         Zoundz like work. *Sad*
As I've said time and again. See #1.

Ah, I reached my Limit of Five! One must follow rules occasionally.

See you in 2025.

Or not.

Me.

For "Dear Me: Official WDC ContestOpen in new Window. 2024... what can I say to myself?
Note: I reference 🌻 thankful pwheeler nano who promotes good habits.
