Proverbs 26:11

‘There’s justice promised in another lifetime,’
Whispers my mother

I cannot believe her

Instead

I will look for the hazel in your eyes
Or the swiftness of your hands
Or the evil you carry on your back

And I will cry silently when I find you

You will laugh at my tears

But you lack foresight

I am not here to sob and beg for your body
I am here for justice





All I want
Is to live my mundane life
Without seeing you in everything
