This is a small poem I made for school. It's also a get to know me and what I enjoy doing. |
Where Iām From Pen name : Ash I am from old, worn out dance shoes filled with holes, from ice packs and first-aid kits. I am from floors covered in bobby pins and hair ties, I come from here more often than my own home, It still feels like a place of my own. From all the smiling faces and warm embraces. I'm am from the beautiful views of the beach as the sun rises, to the late nights we stay to watch as the sun disappears into shimmering water with a cool breeze in our faces. I come from the night hikes we take in the mountains, to learning about astronomy with all their secrets hidden away, and the quietness the night brings. I'm come from awkward family events with unfamiliar faces, to feeling a sense of euphoria when I swaddle up in a blanket with all of my comfort characters brings me into a land of enchantment. I'm from being told to stop messing around to lighten up. I'm from all the scribbles and scratches that I leave behind from ruined sketches, to beautiful artwork that I end up preserving for all time. I'm from relaxing family movie nights on the couch, to energetic parties that go on from dusk to dawn. I'm from the wonderful smell of my mom's cookies wafting through the air, to the smell of cakes, macaroons and brownies going all throughout the house. I come from doodles I made as a kid, to making stories as a writer. I come from being told to stop imagining such crazy imaginations, to be more creative and find more ways to do it. I'm from many members of my family, some small, some big, some dumb and some wise. I'm from being told to be embarrassed, to embrace my difference. I'm the daughter of Sarah, SirvTee, granddaughter of Gil and Kim and sister to Griffin. I come from a loving family who accepts who I am, even with all the craziness and weirdness I drive them into. I love them and they love me, and that's where I'm from. A land of weirdness, craziness, imagination, and love. |
