The Ham Man Chronicles

Based on a disturbing dream I had. MC is a paranormal investigator. They have heard rumors of a turn of the 20th century house. It used to be an old victorian estate. Then was converted into a mental hospital before being abandoned in the late 1950s.

During the 1960s and 70s a cult used the house as a place to worship a demonic entity called The Ham Man. It is about six feet tall with a single yellow eye that opens like a slit. It has no skin, only red fibrous tissue that looks like muscle. It is humanoid.

The cultists believed that if they sacrificed people to "The Ham Man", it would grant them favors and special powers. The ritual involved starving the victims for two days. Then, they took the person to be sacrificed and dressed them in a white robe. The victim was locked in the top chamber of the old house where The Ham Man existed in our world. After the witching hour the cultists waited for the screams to die down. Then they would commune with their Demonic overlord.

This went on until one night the police finally caught the cultists in the act of abducting a victim.

The building has been disused since 1980.

MC's friend told them about this local legend when they were kids. MC investigates the building to see if there's any truth to the rumors.
