Reflections

Beyond the silver of the moon and the misty haze
near a golden valley, where the lilies are in bloom

The roses were giving off their fragrance so sweet
I was looking for the one the thing I wanted in my life

In the shimmer of the water there was a reflection
one I had seen everyday, yet never really knew

As I watched the water dance, the reflection seemed to change
it startled me to see it happen before my very eyes

The reflection did soon clear and the change was nearly gone
but yet the aftermath of the change was there in my eyes

Forever in the reflection will be that change
and in the reflection I see myself staring back at me

So I am that one thing that I was looking for
and those changes that made the reflection ripple

Will forever be a part of me when you look into my eyes
