This fairy turns the lights off
Good gloaming fairy
Twilight has come
And that’s how I know you’ve
Been through the room

After you gave a push to the sun
To give it a rest down there in the West
You came to my bedroom and
Doll, you’re the best

Not that you like being called things like “Doll”
Being a good gloaming fairy and all
But every evening around sunset
I thank Oberon for the day that we met

You unfurled your wings with a mighty uncurl
And said, “Hon, you’d love a good gloaming girl.”
