Down By The Water

I sat by the sea where people played
The weather was sweet and I felt made.

The waves crashed in making swooshing sounds
I appreciated the harmony, I knew no bounds.

A child dug holes in the golden sand
A couple were standing hand in hand.

In all life's dark places
There is still hope by the sea.

Everywhere I go a dark shadow entails me
But peace by the sea front is a place I know.

I smile and smirk at the freedom of water
Watching the world go by without laughter.

The ocean is special and everyone knows
It's a place to go when feeling the lows.
