A Filipino Recipe That Is Always A Part of A Fiesta in Our Family
HUMBA

This is good for four persons.

Multiply the ingredients according to the number of persons that you are going to serve

.1 kilo pork belly cut into serving size
1/ 4 cup vinegar
1/ 4 cup soy sauce
1 medium onion sliced
8 cloves garlic minced
1 / 2 cup dried banana blossoms
1/ 4 cup rinsed black beans
1 tsp peppercorn
2 pcs bay leaf
3 cups water
5 pieces peeled and sliced ripe cardaba banana.

Marinate the pork in soy sauce and vinegar for an hour or two
Drain the meat and reserve the marinade.
Fry the meat until light brown.
Leave the oil for sauteeing and remove the meat.
Sautee the onions and garlic and the meat. Sautee for a minute.
Add the marinade. Add all the ingredients and bring to boil until meat is tender
Serve with plain rice or garlic rice.
This recipe even without refrigerator will last for one month. But if you have a refrigerator so much the better and the longer it will last.
Fiesta is not fiesta without it
Enjoy.
