Nice Mommies give rise to nice times for nice children.

Mother Pig sighed with joy. " Rain!" she said aloud. "It'll be good for my garden, especially the Tulips!" But her youngest son, Little Pandurang Piglet, was not happy.

"It's raining, Mommy," he grumbled. "Now I can't play outdoors!"

"Oh, yes, you can, Pandurang my precious piglet boy," she replied, smiling. "Just be creative about things and you can do whatever you like!"

Pandurang hated getting wet. His mother had told him to be creative. He couldn't use an umbrella properly, he had trouble opening and closing it with his hooves. He thought and thought, and then he grinned to himself.

"Mommy Piggie!" he called out. "I've thought of a way of keeping dry and I'm going out!"

"Good for you, dear. If you're going to be meeting any of your friends, take some of the Chocolates I made yesterday to share with them!"

Yes, Pandurang was planning to meet Bihari Bunny, so he quickly put some chocolates in his pocket. "Thanks, Mommy Piggie!"

Then, Pandurang put his idea into action. He took Mommy Piggie's large shopping Basket and put it on his head. It had an embossed design, with some fancy cut-outs, which he placed as eye-holes. With this large headgear, he trot-trot-trotted to the Bunny house and rang the doorbell.

"Dear me, who is it?" Mommy Bunny pretended she didn't recognize Pandurang with the strange hat on. "Is it the king himself, or is it the wizard of magic land?"

Pandurang Piglet was proud of his creativity. He had Mommy Rabbit fooled! "It's only me. I've come to play with Bihari Bunny!"

"Dear me," she repeated. "I wouldn't have known you for the world. What a great way to stay dry!"

"Who is it, Mommy?" came a voice. BIhari Bunny came running up. "Why Pandurang! Why do you have that thing on your head?"

It was Mommy Rabbit who replied quickly. "He has it on so that the TWO of you can fit under it and stay dry!"

Though Pandurang hadn't thought of that, he agreed at once. "Yes, yes, it'll fit both of us."

Bihari Bunny got under the basket, too. The two friends walked close together all the way to the Picket fence where they had a picnic of home-made chocolates!
