What happens when five of the most powerful mages meet?
[Introduction]
Five different people with different types of magic and skill, the only things they have in common are: They have the most powerful magics in that area, and that they are about to meet...

**Corny begining? Yes, I know. You characters may or may not know they have the most powerful magic in that area(plant magic, animal magic, etc., etc.)but they do have to know that they have magic, and know how to use it. What happenes when they meet is up to you, because I'm out of ideas at the moment... Also, I'd like this to move rather quickly so I'll wait till I'm on the very brink of insanity before I am forced to skip you**
Name: Aaron Rader
Gender: female
Hair: dark violet
Eyes: dark violet
Magic: fighting
Skills: unusually fast and strong, can call weapons to her(distance undetermined), can make very good weapons, is learning how to make weapond appear out of thin air
Extra info: Aaron studies at the Temple of Serous. She doesn't know who her parents are. Aaron is quick to tell you when you've had enough, but never listens to her own advise. She refuses to believe that she is, in anyway, special. Trains very hard, sometimes too hard.

As Aaron stepped out of the shade, and the sunlight hit her hair, her black hair turned into a deep violet. She walked quickly to the blacksmiths, ignoring all the dust that got on the long, heavy red habbit she wore. Everyone wore these, student and teacher alike. With the sun beating down on them as it always did, the habbits were very hot, but she had learned a long time ago to suffer in silence
"Aaron, did you forget you have lessons?" a gravely voice called behind her.
"I know, I know. Why can't my training be in games like the others. I mean just because I'm the only girl here doesn't mean you have to make it boring for me alone." Famorn, her teacher was a very tall, cheery man that knew how get on Aaron's nerves.
"It will be fun, as soon as you can actually do it. now sit down." When Aaron was done grumbling and obeyed Famorn continued, "I want you call a staff." Aaron took four deep breaths then thought of nothing else but a staff. She concentrated on bringing the staff here.
Aaron was drenched in sweat and had a horrible headach before a faint outline begane to appear. Before she knew it Aaron was laying on her side with a large welt spreading down the side of her forhead and a staff at her feet.
"You got it confused again. You have to be more specific in your thinking, make it appear at you feet, not make it come to you," Famorn stated, helping Aaron to her feet. Aaron picked up the staff, "I think we have company, this isn't one of ours...ow." She gingerly felt her head.
Just then a novice ran up to them, "Eveyone is to be at the north gate, to greet...whoever is comming, I didn't hear that part." With that the novice ran off to tell more people.
Famorn stopped Aaron before she went to her room to change into another habbit, "No time, we'll hide you in the back. Bring the staff. Whoever you took it from might want it back."
The teacher and student pulled up their hoods to cover their faces, as was costomary, and set off for the north gate.
Aaron waited in line at the north gate, the staff in hand. She so tired. And her head hurt something fierce, and not to mention the fact that the habbit she wore made things 5 times hotter. Not that she was complaining. This was how she usually felt, with all of her hard training. She finally saw who was coming. The high Priest and Priestess of Serous. They came yearly. As the high Priestess passed Aaron slowly held out the staff, "I was trianing with my magic, High Priestess. And...I got a little carried away." Had Aaron raised her head high enought to see the High Priestess, she would have seen a smile.

When they had gone every one was sent to play games, Aaron was on one of the teams to play kickball(soccor). Aaron was the goal keeper, again. Only the teachers liked her. This was just another excuse to hit her as hard as they could with balls.
"Fun, fun, fun," Aaron muttered half-heartedly, pulling back her hood and getting into position.
After the game Aarom limped out of the feild. Famorn walked up to her, eyeing her limp, "Anything wrong?"
Aarom shook her head. "Blocked the ball with my hands, feet, head, face, and hips. Got kicked in the ribs and someone steped on my hand. And then we played kickball," she joked. Famorn touched the small cut on Aarons forehead.
"And I got kicked in the head. I'm fine Famorn. After all, what's the point in having fighting magic if I get to tired to use it." With that Aaron jogged to a pair of water buckets, not wanting to hear Famorn's speech on knowing one's limits. She lifted them onto her shoulders and walked into the forest.

When Aaron finally got to the stream near the temple of Metis she was sweating.
"Curse these hot robes. I'll be rid of you in two years. On my eighteenth birthday. When I am finally able to choose to leave of stay as a teacher." Aaron stoped, why was she explaining this to she habbit?
"Most people faint when they get hot. I just lose a few more brain cells," she muttered as she filled the buckets. Afterward Aaron looked at the water. Debating. Finally Aaron took off her habbit, leaving on her loincloth and breastband and jumped into the water. No one ever came to this river. There was another one closer to the Temple of Metis, so Aaron didn't have to worry about from there coming, and everyone back home was...at home. She sank to the bottom of the river and closed her eyes. Had she been able to breath, Aaron might have been asleep.
When Aaron opened her eyes she could see a figure, she couldn't see much else because of the water. She gasped, inhaling a lot of water. As Aaron tried to swim away from the figure she cursed herself. Gasping underwater! A wonderful mistake for someone who has lived in the Temple of Serous half her life to make!
Aaron surfaced, sputtering and coughing.
"Do you need any help?" a young woman asked.
"No...no, I'm fine. You just caught me offgaurd," Aaron said between coughs. Aaron looked at the woman, making sure that just her head was above the water.
The woman turned around, letting Aaron get out of the water and put on her habbit.
"I'm Minyana Starchasre, I study at the Temple of Metis," the woman said before turning around, once Aaron had her habbit on.
"Aaron. Aaron Rader, I study at the Temple of Serous."
The woman frowned, "I thought they only took boys?"
"Yeah but I've a 'special gift' with fighting magic. The most my teacher has seen--which I think is a complete lie. I am merely a streetrat who got lucky in the ways of her parents and who is a quick learner with a great teacher." Aaron quickly stopped and looked down she hadn't told anyone about her being a streetrat before Famorn had found her. About her never knowing her parents.
"Pardon?" Minyana had said something.
Miyana frowned, "What happened?" She gingerly touched the welt on Aarons forhead.
She winced, "I was practicing with my magic, that's nothing. Once when I was calling a dagger to me I didn't catch it in time. Hit me right here, blade first." Aaron tapped her habbit under her right rib cage. Miyana apperently didn't see the humor in this.
"Well, I should be getting back. Nice meeting you." with that Aaron lifted the buckets of water onto her shoulders and walked away.
She only made halfway, however, she fainted from the heat.

Age:18

Weapons:Staff with a bluish-green stone inside a crystal ball at the top, and an amulet that can sense powers within a person and see what is in their hearts

***
As Missiah walked into town, she saw the massive brawl that was going on. Her amulet glowed fiercly, so she knew someone in there had massive powers. She had been walking in the forest, playing her fiddle and talking to the animals. But, at the sight of the fight in town, she put the fiddle away and flew directly towards the crowd.
She landed and spotted a woman with deeply blue hair and black eyes walking to the side with a man. This woman had great powers, for her amulet was blood red and it only turned that red when someone was very powerful. Missiah ran up to the woman and asked "What is going on here? Why are all these people fighting?"
Before the woman could answer, Missiah knew that her name was Kalanai, she was 19 and had the power to control Storms and Water and sometimes fire. Also, from the high quality of the sword in her hand, she was a good swordsman. Judging from the amulet around her neck, Missiah knew that if Kalanai tried hard enough, she could trap elements inside it. Missiah had psychic abilities, but unlike most of the other "phychics" in town, she really could read minds and she could control it. Missiah asked again when the woman didn't answer, "What is happening? Why are the people fighting?"
Aaron woke to a slightly blury face over her. She scrambled away and to her feet, then triped over her habbit and feel again.

"Don't DO that to me!" Aaron yelled when she finally knew who it was.

"Sorry."

Miyana insisted on coming with her to the Temple, despite Aaron telling her over and over again that she was fine, that this happened all the time. This new information didn't seem to help much.

Famorn was the first one to meet them, "What did she do?" he asked Miyana. Aaron was about to say that she hadn't done anything when Famorn put his hand over her mouth.
"Get out of the way or you'll get hurt, " the girl, Kalanai answered. Missiah shrunk away, feeling as if this girl had actually hit her. Missiah was never good with harsh words. She watched as a blinding light enveloped the Shalas. This woman had obviously called upon her lightning ability to burn them. Of course, it didn't kill them, so she tried again. Missiah saw the woman glancing at her as she hurled the second lightning bolt. Missiah, deciding to fight, stepped up beside the woman, rose up in the air, took hold of her staff and sent a mental block through all the men who Kalanai was fighting. This mental block allowed for Kalanai to hurl her deadly lightning bolt and burn them. As Missiah came down and her feet touched the ground, she saw Kalanai grimacing with her effort. Missiah went up to her and said,"Kalanai, I'm Missiah. You already know that I can fly and that I have psychic abilities, but I have one more power, control over animals. I will get them to help you regain your strength and train you so that using your power will not drain you so much, if you wish."
Aaron felt like she had to be somewhere, really felt like she had to be somewhere.
Famorn must have guessed because he looked down at her then and sighed, "Go on, but don't get yourself killed." Aaron ran off before he could change his mind, and left him to explain to Miyana that when she got one of these feelings, it ment she was needed. While she ran Aaron called a sword to her, it flew into her hand. After a while she came to a village. There was a big fight going on, but Aaron could see who was going to win. Two woman standing back-to-back one was throwing lighting at the others. She looked around, trying to figure out why she was needed.
The she saw a man fighting, he was out numbered. Aaron didn't really care if he could handle it himself, she loved to fight.

She ran into the fight, quick and silent. While some men shouted war cries, Aaron didn't make a sound. When she finally came to the man Aaron saw someone behind him, about to cut off his head.

"Duck!" she shouted. The man looked at her. Aaron threw her sword, it zipped past the mans ear and into the other man's chest. She quickly retrived it.
"I said duck," she muttered before putting her back to his and looking for her next foe.
Giving Missiah a mumbling response, Kalanai went off to fight. Missiah could sense that the girl was annoyed with all the newcomers; a girl with fight magic, named Aaron and a girl named Miyani with spirit magic. Missiah saw as the one named Aaron saved the man from a bloody death. Nearby, Miyani was hopelessly trying to find a rapier that wasn't there. Missiah looked at her as if she was drunk, but turned her attention to Kalanai. She was foolisly swinging her sword around, killing everyone around her. Flying in the air, Missiah used her psychic abilities to put sensibility into Kalanai's head. She saw as the woman slowed down and fought in a thoughtful manner. Relieved that Kalanai would not do something stupid, she turned to fight a man who seemed more powerful than the others. Concentrating hard, she called to all the animals to help in the fight. She also called Pnaier, her unicorn, to fight with her. When they all arrived, she jumped on Pnaier and led the animals into battle, concentrating on the powerful one.
Aaron saw all the animals and felt like screaming 'NO!' and stoping them. She didn't like it when animals got caught in human battles. And this lady had a unicorn fighting for her! A unicorn! Making such a pure and good creature draw blood, to Aaron, was the most horrible thing a person could do.

Seeing that the man could take care of himself Aaron ran for the man that was about to get killed by the unicorn. As another man threw a dagger at Minyana, with a wave of her arm, Aaron made the dagger fly into the other man's back, forgetting that she couldn't do that. She wasn't going to let this woman make a unicorn kill for her. She ran un to the unicorn and killed anyone who came to close.
The woman riding the unicorn said something to Aaron, she didn't hear it but muttered, "At least I fight my own battles." Having an idea of what the woman said.
At least I fight my own battles," the woman said. Missiah swore under her breath. This woman had no idea what she was doing. In no way would she let animals fight for her. The blood of an animal was sacred to those with animals powers. Pnaier, her unicorn was her center of power. Sitting on him and with the animals near by, she could change shapes, or use it to reinforce her psychic abilites. Gathering the power that the animals graciously handed over, she sent them back into the forest. Pnaier, she let fly back to his cove. Hovering in the air, Missiah called upon the power of her amulet to clear all the minds of everyone on her side, giving them even higher abilities to fight. She could sense Kalanai fighting it, but pushed harder and eventually got it through. Seeing the priestess,Miyana, regain her bearings, Missiah brought out her staff. Calling out to Athena, her patron goddess, she spoke the words for the spell she was using. "NOPARE GLODURE MOSSKIO MAGHIY!" With that, a bright blueish-green light burst out and enveloped the men below, as they ran for the forest. Immediately, she saw them go down on their knees, the pain in their heads too much to bear. Taking advantage of the situation, those who Missiah sided with quickly killed all the remaining men. Returning to the ground, a sudden pain enveloped her, and she fainted.
Aaron didn't know what happened, and wasn't sure she wanted to know. Suddenly bluish-green light flared then the remianing men fell to the ground in pain. Aaron took advantage of this, like the others.
She walked up to Miyana. She didn't notice the cut that ran from her right shoulder to her left side, and probably wouldn't until someone said something.
"Why'd you come?" Miyana shruged and said something. Aaron did hear, she was getting a...feeling from being here, she didn't like it. The feeling wasn't bad or good. To Aaron it felt more like power and that could be used either way.
Her and the people around her were making this feeling, Aaron knew that much.
"Well that was fun but I gotta go. If you ever have the sudden urge to come visit me...don't." With that Aaron began jogging toward the Temple.
Waking up, Missiah cursed herself. She'd used too much power and fainted. She'd have to work on that. Than she faintly remembered Kalanai reviving her and turned to thank her, but she was gone. "I'll have to thank her, somehow." "Excuse me, what did you say?" Missiah turned, and saw the priestess, Miyana, standing next to her. "Nothing," Missiah replied and she got up. "Thank you for helping me." The girl nodded in response. "So, do you wish to continue on with me, or do you want to go back to yor temple?" Missiah asked the priestess and gave her a chance to answer.
After a while Aaron's back began to throb. She didn't think anything of it however, some body part of her's was always sore. Finally she decided to take a break, she rubbed her back absent-mindedly while catching her breath.
She felt a tear in her habbit and wetness, that was never good.
Looking at her hand Aaron saw blood. She felt around her back, finding out how bad the cut was. She had had worse, but it was still rather bad.
Just then Aaron heard a twig snap, She didn't think abut who it might have bee, just sprinted toward the temple.
When Miyana said that she would continue to travel with me, for a while, I brightened with joy. Kalanai, I'm sure, hated me. Of course, with her attitude, and total lack of people skills, she appeared to hate everyone. But, she had left, along with Aaron, so I couldn't tell her that. But, Miyana had agreed to travel with me, so i asked "What shall we do?" The girl shook her head, and said, "I don't know. What do you usually do?" Thinking about everything I had ever done, I said, "I travel to whereever I am wanted, and accepted. I don't have parents, so to make money, I play my violin." Turning to my pack, I pulled out the violin. Miyana smiled and said, "Than we shall travel. I will sing and you can play your violin." I continued with, "And, we'll save people whenever there is someone in trouble. Although, it would have been more fun if Kalanai and Aaron had decided to stay with us." I looked down, afraid to show how much I really needed companionship, even from mean, spiteful people like Kalanai and controlling people like Aaron. Miyana just smiled and said, "I know, I wish we could all be one giant group. You could teach Kalanai to be kinder and I could teach Aaron to take things as they come. But, just think, we have a lot to teach eachother." With that, she took my hand, and walked north.
When Famorn found Aaron the cut had already clotted, so he sent her back to her room to put on another habbit, then to come to the kickball feild.

Again she was the goalkeeper. Half way through the game Aaron saw that woman from before, in the fight. She was talking to Famorn. She appeared to ask him a question, he pointed at Aaron.
Aaron quickly turned back to the game, someone from the other team was coming with the ball.
Aaron moved up to meet him when he kicked the ball.
Aaron bent over, inches from the ball, to catch it. It hit her in the stomach and the boy's foot kept going and got her in the head. She fell to the ground. The boy kicked again. Aaron's legs shot into the air, she supporting all her weight on the bottom of her neck, she caught the ball and threw it back.
Seconds later the same came back, and Aaron was still on the ground.
He 'missed' and ended up kicking Aaron, full force, in the side. After that Aaron was able to grab the ball and throw it to one of her team members.

She strugled slightly to her feet and shook her head, trying to clear it. That didn't work. It just sent more waves of pain through her head.
As Miyana flailed about, looking for her rapier and whip, but not finding them, I realized that I had them in my bag. Seeing them on the ground and knowing that Miyana was going to forget them, I had picked them up. Taking them out of my bag, I threw them at her. Quickly finishing off whatever that thing was, Miyana got to her feet and thanked me. "Thanks, Missiah, if you hadn't picked these up, I'd be a goner tight now."

I laughed and replied with, "You're welcome." But then, I remembered what she had been thinking before the attack. Miyana had fallen strangely silent and I wanted to make sure everything was all right, so I had taken a quick look inside her mind. What I had overheard astounded me. Her last name was Starchaser! The last name of my long lost mother.

I turned to her and took a long look. She did look like me and my father to some extent. I also knew what my father had told me. While he had never told me the girl's first name, I had found out that her last name was Starchaser. When my mother and father had split up, my mother had taken the elder child and I was left with father. Shortly after, my father had died.

As I grew older, I had naturaly wondered about my mother and older sister. Of course, I had never met them and when I heard about my mother's death, I knew I'd never meet her. So, I began a long search for my sister, but to no evail. After three years, I gave up the search, thinking that she was probably dead, too. But, here she was, standing right next to me!

"Miyana," I said, "I'm sorry, but I must confess something. When you were thinking, I was listening in. You were wondering if I was related to you. Your mother's last name is Starchaser." Miyana looked at me, smiled, and said, "Yes, I didn't use my father's name. Starchaser is my mother's name. What of it?" Looking up at her, I said, "My mother's last name was Starchaser." Then, I told her the whole story, right up to the point when I had met her in the village.

Miyana looked like she was about to burst. Throwing her arms around me in a hug, she shrieked with joy. "My baby sister, with me all this time, yet I didn't know it. Oh, this is wonderful. Now, I must tell you something. Mother's dead, Missiah, I'm sorry, but you'll never get to meet her, as I will never meet father." The last sentence was very sad and disconsolate. "I know mother is dead, Miyana, but she lives through us. She is in us." She smiled and nodded. "Yes, little sister, you are right."
**Servenace Aaron's 16, sorry for not putting it**

When the game ended Aaron felt like one big, throbing sore. It was a good game.

As she was walking back her room, Famorn motioned for her to get some sleep, she felt someone fall in beside her.
"How do you feel?" Aaron knew this tactic, when she was tired she often spke the truth, Famorn used all the time.
"A little sore...really sore." She glanced up and saw that it was that woman.
"I was wondering...if you'd like to travel with me?" Aaron raised an eyebrow, "I don't even know your name." She was to tired to be polite.
I turned to Miyana, and asked her, "Don't you get the feeling that we are supposed to be with Kalanai and Aaron? It's like this nagging feeling that I am not complete." Miyana looked at me and answered, "I was just about to ask you, Missiah. I feel it too. Maybe we should go where it feels like we should go." Taking my amulet out of my shirt, I told it to find Kalanai and Aaron and show us the way. The amulet glowed a bright red and pointed east. It also indicated that they were headed this way. "Miyana, Kalanai and Aaron are east of us, but they are coming this way. Do you want to meet them halfway?" Miyana nodded, so I picked up my pack and headed east, with her right behind me.
After Aaron had agreed she had went to her room to pack. When she was done she was now wearing redish-brown breeches and with the sleeves torn off. She spread her arms wide, tilted her head back and shouted, "I can finally move!" Then shouldered her pack and walked toward Kalanai. As she passed Aaron said, "Don't ask." In answer to Kalanai's questioning look.

As they passed one of the feilds Aaron saw Jeron, the bot who kept beating her up, with fists and balls. She dropped her pack and ran into the feild where they were playing, yet another game of kickball. She stole the kickball and kicked it, as hard as she could toward Jeron. It broke his nose, then she tripped him and kicked him in the side.
"Ha! Not so fun when it happens to you is it?" She calmly walked out of the feild and went you join her partner at the gate.
"You know I've been waiting years for a chance to get him back. My soul is at rest now." Kalanai looked at her strangly but laughed and led the way.
When I stopped and Miyana saw why I had stopped, she screamed a loud, piercing scream that made my eardrums pound. Right ahead of us was a unicorn, and someone had done a number on it a few days ago. The horn was gone, blood still spilled to the ground, and all the parts were bloated from being in the sun. I couldn't see why she was screaming until I saw what was behind it. It was some sort of monster, with long, disgustingly yellow fangs, dishieveled long black hair, and was rather large.

"Miyana, use your whip and rapier, I'll use my staff to creat some sort of sword. We've got to fight it." Miyana burst into action and ran at the creature, fighting with all her might. Deciding to first help her, I looked into the creature's mind, saw it's nerve center, and placed a mental block on it. Than, when that was under control, I decided to skip the sword thing, and just pulled out my staff.

The stone that was at the top of the staff and protected by a crystal ball, glowed as I aimed it at the monster. "Miyana, watch out, you need to get out of the way." Seeing what I was about to do, Miyana jumped out of the way. Uttering the words for the spell I needed, I gray light shot out of the staff and circled around the monster. The thing, whatever it was, screamed with agony as its body was burned from the inside out. Soon after, all that was left was a pile of ash on the ground.

Miyana walked over after she had placed the whip and rapier in thier correct places. "What should we do with the unicorn?" Thinking, I decided that we should give it a burial service, and called Pnaier, my unicorn. Once he got there, we told him the whole story and let him take care of the rest. His horn glowed and a white, glittering light spilled from it and wrapped around the dead unicorn's body. Miyana and I watched as the unicorn's body turned into a breeze and flew into us. "Pnaier, why did you make it do that? It's supposed to go to the four corners of the earth." The unicorn explained that we deserved it for killing the creature that had killed the other unicorn. Thanking Pnaier, I sent him back to his valley.

"Missiah, what will that unicorn air do?" Laughing, I told her that unicorn "air", as she had called it, was the unicorn's power. It would give us a connection to all magical creature's like dragons, centaurs, other unicorns, etc. She smiled and said, "I think I'm gonna like being with you, little sister." I smiled too and was about to say something in return, but I heard something in the bushes. "Shh, listen, there is someone, no two people there." Sensing who it was without actually entering thier minds, I discovered who it was. "Hello, Kalanai, hello Aaron. It's only Missiah and Miyana. You can come out of the bushes."
"Does every one know my name?" Aaron muttered as she stepped out.
The others began talking about why they had the sudden urge to be together, where they should go and the like.
Aaron, who did have the feeling that they should be together, but didn't really like it, slowly backed up till she reached a rock. There she sat down and began sharpening her sword. It was so dull that she could barely cut simple string, she had never used it.
She didn't know where she got it from, she had had it for as long as she remembered. Aaron supposed that her father or mother had given it to her, or something of the like. The hilt was that of a dragon, it's tail curved up to surround her hand, it fit perfactly.

"You don't know who your parents are?" Missiah had come over, Aaron hadn't thought that the woman would actually talk to her.
"Get out of my mind--and stay out," Aaron hissed. Talking about her parents always made Aaron bitter, and knowing that her mind was an open book to Missiah didn't help her mood.
"Well, I'm glad someone agrees," I said laughing. Kalanai had apologized to me and I figured to tell her that I would not enter her mind unless she asked me to. "Kalanai, you can turn your mind back on. I swear I won't enter unless there is a real need to." Kalanai nodded and I turned to Aaron. "For your information, I wasn't in your mind. I happen to be very perceptive without it. I may be just slightly older than you, but I am not stupid." Aaron smiled for the first time and kneeled down by the fire. "So," she said, "what do you propose?"

Miyana explained into detail how we should go after the Shala. As I had been fighting them, I had read all their minds and found out what they wanted. When Miyana finished talking, I spoke up and told what I know. "The Shala have a reason for being here; they want to steal all the power of the land, ours included. We hold the most powerful magic in the kingdom and they want it."
Aaro, laughed, "You may have the most powerful magic but not me."
"But your teacher said that you were already stating on making weapons apear, and that you're as good as or better with you magic then most of the teachers." Kalania said.
Aaron shook her head, "That's because I grew up in the slums, and I was young then so I had to learn some of it, that or...," she trailed off for only a second before starting again, hoping that no one noticed, "And I'm a quick learner. I learn things fast and train until I can do it in my sleep, and then train some more. That doesn't mean that I'm strong at all." She guessed that something in her voice ended the conversation. No one pressed the subject.
Aaron walked back over to the rock and went back to sharpening her sword, "If I'm going to be doing any fighting, I need a sword that can actually cut," she explained before looking down, "Just tell me when we're moving."
siyI watched as bright fire erupted from Kalanai and burned the Syithes away. I jumped behind a bush to get out of the fire's path, but when I got back up, I couldn't see anyone. "Kalanai! Aaron! Miyana! Where are you?" I listened very closely to the land around me. After all, controlling the animals does give one really good hearing.

I heard footsteps a few yards away, I ran quickly in that direction. It wasn't long before I came upon Kalanai, who was in a fit of fury because she thought that we had been toasted along with the siythes. "Kalanai, what's going on? Where's everyone else? I the blast sent each of them flying or something." She look at me and for the first time since meeting her, I saw a smile break out on her face. "You're ok! I was so worried there for a minute." I laughed and sat down on a near-by rock. "I'm going to look for thier spirits. Wake me if anything happens." Kalanai set down her things, too. "Ok." Closing my eyes and entering a hypnotic state, I called out to them.

"Miyana Aaron where are you?" Almost immediately, Miyana's voice entered my mind. "I'm here, sis, where are you?" "I'm with Kalanai, by the stream. It's by the place where Kalania used her fire magic. Look for the smoke." Miyana's voice went back to optimistic. "I'll find you sis, don't worry." A few minutes later, Aaron's voice came through. "I thought you said that you wouldn't enter my mind again." Laughing, I said, "Well, this tme I needed to so that our group comes together again. Look up at the sky and follow the smoke, you'll see it because Kalania is building a fresh fire right now, I can sence it. But hurry because we need to be moving by nightfall." I could feel Aaron running in our direction. "Yeah I see it. I'll be there in about 10 minutes." With that, I closed off my psychic searching and opened my eyes. A bright fire was burning and giving off a lot of smoke. "Did you find them?" I smiled, "Yes, I found them."
AAron had been sharpening her sword(yes it's still not sharp enough)when she heard Missiah's voice in her mind. She didn't answer right away, she was almost done sharpening her sword. When she was done she answered and was told to follow the smoke.

Aaron was the last one to arrive.
"Where are we going?" Aaron guessed that they had already decided where to go.
"There are supposed to be a lot of the Shala at Kerona."
Aaron nodded, "Important city, big on trade. Has a lot of different types of people, not enought gaurds. If you wanted to hide that's the place to do it." The group stared at Aaron.
She sighed, "What? Just because I'm from a templedoesn't mean I know nothing about the world around me." Everyone seemed to accept this and they headed east, toward Kerona.
Home deadly, home, Aaron thought to herself.
Sitting by myself, just like everyone else in the group, I talked to Pnaier. I had called him to me earlier so that he could meet my new friends, but Miyana had gone for a walk long before that. A steady string was always there, but we had another connection that I could feel blaze red hot and then disappear. Knowing this couldn't be good, I jumped up.

"Kalanai, Aaron, come quick! Something happened to my sister! My connection to her just broke and nothing can do that but powerful magic! Please come!" I heard their footsteps as they come running to help me find Miyana. Kalanai looked like she was fluxuating between being happy for a battle, but upset for Miyana. Hmm, I guess she conquered her fire abilites. Only when she did that would her mood swings be this quick. Seeing that they were ready, I got my staff and ran in the direction that I had last felt Miyana's presence. Luckily, the string that connected us magically was still there.
"Will nothing leave us alone!" Aaron muttered as she ran with the others. She drew her sword and stopped staring at it in disbelief.
It was vibrating. The closer she got to Miyana and whatever else was there the harder it would vibrate and it was humming ever so slightly.
She tried to let go but she couldn't. She couldn't make her hand let go. She ignored it and ran forward hoping that after the battle she could let go of her sword.
"Miyana! Miyana, where are you?" I ran through the woods, following the string that connected me to my sister. Eventaully, I was led to a small village, where I saw Miyana sitting, healing a young boy with one of her herbal concoctions. Stopping, I waited as Aaron, then Kalanai arrived to where I stood. I pointed up into the trees, where the villagers were looking down on us. "Miyana, come, please. Make them leet us in." Miyana came over to the edge, looked over, and told the men to let us in. Quickly, I ran to my sister and gave her a big hug. "I'm glad you're ok."
The men watched Aaron as she came up, or more they watched her sword, which she still couldn't let go.
She stepped back slightly so the others would, hopfully not otice that she still hadn't let go of her sword.
She thought about what Kalanai had said before. How could the sword be elven? That would have to mean that one of her parents was an elf, and Aaron looked nothing like an elf. Her ears were not pointed, she was tall, her hair was not golden, far from it really, and even though she had a lean figure that was just because she didn't eat much.
Aaron forced herself to stop thinking about it, she didn't know who(or what)her parents were and didn't care. Besides the sword was probably to long for an elf anyway.
"What?" one of the men said something to her.
"He wants you to sheath your sword," Miyana said.
Aaron looked at the ground, "I...I can't."
"It's alright Aaron, they're safe."
"No I mean physically can't let go."
"Kalanai's gone, Miyana, we have to go! Please, we have to. There is something not right about this place, please. Let's go and find her. Please."

Miyana looked at me. "I can't. They've asked us to stay."

"But, I'm the psychic one and I know if something is wrong. We have to go, Miyana, our lives depend on it, trust me."

"Alright, Missiah, I'll go. Get Aaron and we'll leave."

"Thank you, Miyana. Come on, let's go. Aaron, come on, we're leaving. We've got to follow Kalanai and catch up to her before it is too late."

Aaron looked like she was genuinely happy that we weren't staying in the city. Climbing down the ropes silently, we made our way from the city. Once we were a good three miles from the hanging city, Miyana and I used our power to find Kalanai. She was headed this way. Why, I know not, but she was. "Come on, this way," I said, pointing in the direction we were already going. "We'll find her after a few minutes."
The farther they got from the city the less Aaron's sword vibrated. Only when they found Kalanai did she try to let go, she could. Aaron quicklt sheathed her sword and shook her hand.
"It's been vibrating ever since I held it," she explained. She didn't look at Kalanai's face, not wanting to think of the possibiliy of one of her parents being elven, or one of her parents having stole an elven sword.
When she was younger Aaron had thought of her parents, what they looked like, how they acted, and why they weren't with her. She had made up her own parents, picturing them to be valient warriors. She thought of some battle, some gigantic battle that was in history books everywhere. How they lost their lives protecting the inhabitants of a temple.
It didn't seem so harsh, some how, when Aaron thought about it that way. They weren't with her because they died saving the world. That was how Aaron wanted to think of them, that and only that.

Aaron realized that that group had been moveing and that she had fallen behind, she ran to catch up.
"See, there is something that I never told you guys. I have a sword, too. You've never seen it because I didn't want anyone to try and steal it. I am the power of Thina and Miyana of Alos. She has the sword for it, too. Only, she doesn't know it."
Turning to my pack, I brought out the long, silver sword with magical markings written all over it. Kalanai, Aaron, and Miyana looked surprised that I knew this, when I had just sked where to find the power. I gathered that they thought me a liar, but I am not, so I explained it to them.
"My father told me, right before he died, that I was to keep this sword safe for all eternity. That it was the ancient power Thina and would be needed to close the rift in power. He also told me of Miyana then, telling me that I had to find her, for she was the power of Alos and we would need to be together. Miyana is holding the sowrd in her hand right now."
Everyone looked at Miyana, who looked very surprised to see a sword, much like mine, in her hand. "I don't know how this got here," she said, quietly.
"It came to be because the power was opened up inside you, Miyana. I gave it to you when we met. That's why you felt such a bond when we met and why you dared to think that we were sisters. Us being together opened up your power. Father opened up mine by giving me the sword. Now, we need to close up that rift, before everything goes horribly wrong."
Aaron was still getting over the fact that she was the power of Avon, did that mean she wasn't human? Aaron didn't want to think about it.
"So...now what? Aren't we supposed to see this Circle, or watever?"
"Miyana, you've got to calm down! Please, stop. Look at me, Miyana, look at me. What's wrong?" I let Miyana look up at me, lossening my grip on her. "I'm tired of all this. I wanna go home!" There was a quality of unreality in her voice, and I could sense that something was amiss. Letting my mind enter hers, I quickly probed around. Looking at her power, held deep inside her, I saw an outlining of black. Some sort of evil had taken over her.

"Aaron, come here for a moment, please. I need you to hold Miyana tight for me. Do not, under any circumstances, let her go!"

Aaron looked slightly confused, but held onto Miyana tightly. Calling up a slight amount of the power of Athena, I pushed it into my sister. Not wanting to hurt her, I still had to get rid of the evil. Slowly, but surely, the black was wiped away by the power and my sister was back. "Miyana, are you ok?" I ran over to my sister, just to make sure.

"Yes, I'm fine. Now, when are we going to destroy the rift?" Miyana just got and wiped the dirt off her clothes. "Now, where's Kalanai?"

"She went to go talk to the Circle, we think. She'll be back in a while." Aaron's voice rang clear, for the time in a while, and, for the first time since meeting her, she smiled. "Don't worry, we'll get it, whatever it is."
After a moments thought Aaron said, "I'm going to see if I can catch up with Kalanai. With all this evil rift stuff it doesn't seem right to travel alone. You stay here and wait for us." Before they could reply Aaron ran off in the direction as Kalanai.
Aaron found her after a few minutes and told her what she had told Miyana and Missiah.
Then said, "In all honesty I'm just not good with emoitional situations."
Looking at the dog, I decided to trust my sister. It certainly wasn't hurting her, I so I called it over. At first, it wouldn't come, but Miyana told it that I was her sister, Missiah, and I would not hurt it. Only then did it come and lick the palm of my hand. Feeling a sudden surge and seeing a bright light a little ways off, I said, "Miyana, the Circle wants us. Personally, I didn't think I was worthy, but, I guess we are." Getting all my stuff ready, I got up and walked towards the surge.
Slowly the mist began to take a rough human-like outline.
Every inch of Aaron's being was screaming to RUN!!! But she couldn't, her legs wouldn't move and she knew she wasn't supposed to move. She heard people coming and jerked her head to see who it was. It was Missiah and Miyana. The mist stirred and faded a bit then came back.
"Sorry..." Aaron's words were more like shaped air.
Then one of the misty figures spoke.
After a whole lot of murmerings from little human shaped light orbs and Kalanai nodding and shaking her head a lot, the lights finally went away and Kalanai got up. Miyana went up to her and askes about what happened and Kalanai, in the spirit of her true self, made a very bitter reply.
"Well, sounds like you were in the middle of a heated battle with that head ball of light thing."
This elicited a very angry look from Kalanai and she almost lost control, shouting, "That 'head ball of light thing' as you call it happens to be my f...oh, never mind."
Snapping my fingers, I let out a loud "Drat, I almost had it out of her. Well, f, f, what does a girl argue with that begins with an f? Ah, I got it, father! That head ball of light thing is your dad, isn't it?"
Kalanai stopped in her tracks and turned around, looking like she was ready to kill me. "If you ever tell anyone of this matter, I swear, I will kill you, power of Thina, or not."
Holding up my hands, I said, "Hey, you can trust me. I'm very good at keeping secrets. Now, what does that little ball of light want us to do?"
Aaron shook her head before Kalanai could answer.
"Don't tell me, I don't want to know. The less I know the safer I'll feel. You can explain it if you want, I'm going over here." Aaron took out her sword and put it down next to a tree and walk so that she was out of earshot. There she tried to make her sword apear. It wasn't working.
"Aaron!" someone behind her shouted. Aaron jumped and seconds later felt a sharp pain in her arm. She had called her sword over when she had jumped and it had made a shallow gash in her arm. Aaron tore a bandage out of her sleeve and wraped it around her arm, "Sorry," she muttered. She quickly grabed her sword and sheathed it.
"Sorry...what?"
"I can't find her! She's gone into another realm. Let's just leave her alone for a while and she'll come back later. People need their alone time."
Sitting down by the fire, I laid down and searched for someone to talk to telepathically. Finding noone of interest, I pulled back into my body and went to sleep.
Aaron went back to trying to make her sword appear in front of her.
After what seemed like a few hours Aaron collaped onto her back, staring into the sky.
"Why can't I do it? Maybe I should have learned this before calling. No..." Aaron took a deep breath, wiped the sweat away from her forhead, sat up and tried again.
Waking up, I felt Kalanai's presence. But, it was far away, coming this way. Sending myself out, I felt that she was sad about something, without even entering her mind, which wasn't what I wanted to do. Another thing, she was mad at herself for running from something...but what? Me? No! Why would she run from me? Searching deeper, without going into her mind, I felt that she didn't like my attitude. What attitude? I don't have an attitude.
Remembering that because I had sent my mind out that I could send my body there as well, I called my body to me.
"What about my attitude makes you run, Kalanai? I have never felt that I had an attitude. It was yours I despised."
Kalanai turned on me, furiously. "You said you wouldn't enter my mind! You lied!"
"On the contrary, I have honored my promise to a tee. I didn't enter your mind at all. I merely looked at your aura, which a psychic can do. But, Kalanai, why do you run, when you usually confront? If you didn't like my nonexistant attitude, you could've told me. I cannot help who I am, being who my father is."
Aaron had been trying the entire night, now she was byond exausted. She could barely sit up.
So she tried laying down.
"Are you alright?" Miyana asked, looking down at her.
"I'm fine, just a little tired," she tried to get up and failed, "Okay...maybe really tired. But still nothing to worry about."
I laughed at her irritability. "But that doesn't answer my question. I'll eave you alone when it is answered."
And, to show her that I wouldn't leave, I sat down beside her and created a nice pillow for myself.
"Nop, just need a few minutes and I'll be just like new. No offence to you, I just don't take help kindly, way I was raised," Aaron said, then closed her eyes and rested making sure she didn't fall asleep.
"So, Kalanai, back already?"
I sat up from my spot beside the fire, smiling to myself at the shock on Kalanai's face when she saw me.
"I entered the realms right after you, but left immediately to get here first. Just so you know, both Miyana and I can enter the realms, but only I am let in, for Miyana doesn't have a Mastery. We both have a tie with the Circle, that's our father, but as I was the only one to live with him, only I got the Mastery. Remember when I told you about my father being who he is?"
Kalanai, looking dumbstruck, but still keeping her dignity, nodded.
"He is one of those little balls of light I was making fun of. See, he is not dead, contrary to popular belief, he is only in his little ball of light stage."
Aaron pretended to be asleep and tried to ignore the argument.

With some trouble Aaron stood up. Kalanai and Missiah were to annoyed at eachother to notice Aaron leaning on her sword a little. Onlt Miyana did and she didn't say anything.
"So," Aaron interupted, "What's the game plan? Or does anyone have one?"
"Ah, but you don't get it. It all has to do with the fact that I...all well, father said not to say it. Forget it, I don't want anyone mad at me. What good will it do us to have everyone fighting? But, Kalanai, you really do need to have some better people skills cause yours suck."
As Kalanai retaliated Aaron sighed and walked away, beckoning Miyana to following.
"We're supposed to close this rift right?" Miyana nodded.
"Then lets do some research on rifts, figure out how to close them. If we wait for them to stop fighting we'll turn old and gray."
"Yeah, you're right," Miyana said, "Shouldn't we tell them?"
Aaron called over her shoulder, "We're gonna find a library or something to look up rifts." They didn't seem to hear her.
She shruged she and Miyana set off, hoping to find a town with a library.
"I understand that you aren't a naturally friendly person, Kalanai. But, I believe that because half of this group is friendly, you need to try a little harder. Not necessarily become someone you are not, but try a little harder."
I started to walk away when I felt the sudden need to tell her my secret.
"Father do you wish it so?"
Yes, my Missiah, I want it so.
"Very well then."
Turning back around, I saw that Kalanai hadn't moved.
"But, your father is dead, Missiah. Miyana said so."
This is where I laughed, slightly.
"No, he is not, and this is what he wants me to tell you. He wants me to tell you my secret, but you must keep it. Do not tell my sister and certainly do not tell Aaron."
Kalanai nodded.
"This'll take a while, so I wouls sit down."
Kalanai found a rock and sat down on it.
"Ok, first let me tell you again, that my father is not dead. Secondly, let me say that what I said about a Mastery is true and the ball of light thing. To all you, my father would appear to be a ball of light. As you know, I am psychic. In the psychic world, there are nine realms, beginning with this one. The ninth one is reserved for only the most powerful psychics of anyone. Got it?"
"Yes, I got it. Keep going."
"My father reached that realm and was invited to stay there for all eternity. So, when he left, he appeared to 'die', when in actuality, his mind left his body for good. My father is now immortal and watches over all psychics in the world, including me."
Kalanai nodded once again.
"When he died, he gave me some of his own power, in an amulet. If I ever need to visit him on the ninth level, I release that power and enter. So, yes, Kalanai, I am one of the most powerful psychics in the world. You were able to block me when we first met at that battle, but if I had released that power, you wouldn't have been able to keep me out for even a second."
Kalanai pondered this for a moment and then looked at me.
"Your amulet, is it the one you wear around your neck?"
I nodded.
"So, I do have a Mastery, but a psychic mastery. So, please, Kalanai, do not try and deny me that."
"I never have," she snapped.
"Yes you did, when you said that a Mastery was for elemental magic only."
"I didn't know about a Psychic Mastery."
"Well then, now you do. But please, tell no one, for they might try and steal my amulet."
Kalanai stood up, helped me up and nodded.
"I may not be friendly, but I keep my promises. I won't tell anyone."
"Thank you."
**Serveanace, Alu, keep the fights to a minimum please if you could?**

Aaron and Miyana walked toward the faint light, talking.
"Do you ever think they'll stop fighting?" Miyana asked.
"Only when one dies, or if they both die. Even then they'll fight in the next life." Miyana laughed, nodding.
"So what are the odds of us finding any information on rift?"
"Not much," Aaron guessed.
"How about Kalania and Missiah ever coming back?"
"Next to none, actually I don't think it would be so bad if they didn't come back."
No prob

"One second. If you stop here for a few minutes, I can seek them out."
Kalanai nodded and stopped. Sitting down on the ground, I sent my mind out to the second realm.
Searching the world at amazing speeds, I found them heading for the town of Milaeka, probably to the immense library. Coming back to my body, I opened my eyes and smiled.
"Found 'em. They're headed for the library at Milaeka, probably to find information on the rift."
Kalanai, who had sat down to wait for me, got up and dusted herself off.
"Well, then," she said, "let's go."
I laughed.
"Can you run fast?"
This time, in a rare showing of friendliness, Kalanai laughed.
"Can a bird fly?"
"Guess that means yes. Well then, let's go."
I started off in the direction of the two girls and kept a very steady pace the whole time. Kalanai came up next to me and, in no time flat, we had caught up to the other two.
"So, you do realize that there are two other members of this group, don't you?"
"I was begining to wonder," Aaron said drily. Personal battles were to be fought after the real war, was what she had been raised on.
"You don't need to look up information on the rift," Kalanai said, ignoring the comment, "My father can tell us." Her eyes flicked toward Missiah.
Aaron started laughing. Once she had calmed Aaron saw the confused looks the others wore and began laughing again.
"I'm sorry..." She pointed at Kalanai, "You're father is one of those little balls of light, you two are sisters. Each of you have some great...thing that makes better then the average Joe. And me? I am the average Joe. I'm some punk, parentless street rat who happened upon the sword of Avon," She held up her hand to silence Missiah, "No, there is nothing special about me. If, for some reason, any of you find out that I'm the daughter of a god or something, don't tell me. I'd much rather be the average Joe."
When Kalanai returned, I smiled and slowed down to talk to her.
"Figured you might need your space, so I let you go. But, next time, warn us when you're about to go off on us."
I smiled after saying this, to show that I was joking.
"Well, I was trying to remember what I knew on the rift while you were gone. Figured that was what you were doing, too."
Kalanai looked up and nodded.
"I think we could beat it easily, what with all this power we have between us."
I was about to nod when an overwealming pain arose in my head, preventing my from moving.
"Ah...help...pain..."
I would've said more, but the pain got to me and I blacked out, hitting my head on a rock on the way down.
Aaron heard the crack of bone on rock, she had heard many a time, and turned to see Missiah on the ground.
"What happened?" she asked.
"I don't know, she just said something about pain then passed out." Kalanai looked as confused as Aaron and Miyana.
Missiah, you must wake up. Your friends need you.
Father?
No, it's Athena.
Athena?
Yes, girl. You need to get up. Without you, the rift cannot be closed.
But, what happened? Why did my head begin to hurt, Athena?
Someone...someone very evil is attacking all those with any psychic abilities because he knows that one of those who will stop the rift is a psychic. If you get up now, you will be imperveous to any other psychic attacks. Now, I will heal your head wound, but you need to wake up.

"Thank you, Athena..."
"I...I think she's coming around." I heard Miyana's voice and it sounded very relieved.
"Here, give her some water." That would be Kalanai's voice.
I felt water going down my throat and I began to caugh.
"Hey, guys, her wound is gone!" Aaron must've been looking at my head wound.
"That," I began, "is because Athena healed it. Some evil man who wants the rift to grow more..."
I was out of breath and had to stop for a few moments.
"More Powerful wanted to attack the psychic in the group who is to close the rift, so he attacked all the psychics in the world."
Feeling powerful enough to sit up, I picked up the top portion of my body and leaned it against a rock.
"But, won't he try and attack you again?" Miyana sounded worried again, so I smiled.
"Yes, but I'll be imperveous to it. That's what Athena said, anyway, and goddesses don't usually lie about something like that."
Closing my eyes for a few moments, to rest them, I leaned back against the rock and let my friends think about what I had just said.
"Good thing I'm not psychic..." Aaron muttered. Whoever that guy was he was powerful. Yet not powerful enough to narrow it down, Aaron had to wonder about that.
"I'm sure it will, Kalanai, but it'll have to wait for at least a couple of hours because my head is pounding"
Getting out of my sister's hug, I once again leaned against the rock.
"I'm fine Miyana, just have a splitting headache is all. Anyone here heal? We really need a healer in the group, don't we?"
Aaron shook her head, "I only know a little combat healing. Mending broken bones, stiching, healing gashes, puting things back in place and so on. Nothing about headaches."
Aaron didn't think she should say that she found it odd that this mage was powerful enogh to affect all psychics but not have enough power to narrow it down to at least a few miles. She didn't know a lot about that kind of magic so it probably wasn't odd at all.
She fingered the hilt of her sword and idely stretch.
"Oh yes. I'm sorry sis. For some reason, I can't remember some things because it hurts to think about them."
Drinking the liquid, I closed my eyes and fell asleep, muttering, "I'm sorry that I stopped our progress..."
"We had progress?" Aaron asked, half trying to lighten the mood, half out of automotic sarcasim.
Aaron sat down to try and made weapons appear out of thin air. She knew she shouldn't, when Missiah woke up Aaron would be to tired to walk most likly.
I'll just be careful, Aaron told herself.
About three hours later, I woke up, feeling very refreshed and able to travel. I wasnt sure about anyone else, because they were all sound asleep. Feeling the air around me, I guessed it was about midnight, so I decided to watch over them and go back to sleep when I was tired again. But, morning came and I was still refreshed.
"Mornin everyone," I called, in a happy voice.
"Morning sis," came Miyana's, just as cheerful reply.
"Good Morning Missiah," said Kalanai, awake, but still herself, not as cheerful as the rest of us.
"Morning," came a very groggy sounding Aaron. I could tell that she had tired herself out last night.

Aaron's bones felt like lead. She still couldn't do it! Why? It was like calling weapons to her, why was this so hard?
With some difficulty Aaron sat up, "I think we've stalled long enough. Let's figure out how to close this rift and close it."
"Aaron you're to tired to close anything that magical," Missiah said.
"No I'm not, just walk a little slow, I'll be good as new by the time we get there." With more difficulty Aaron stood up, trying not to lean on anything.
"Besides this rift is evil isn't it? The longer it's open the bigger it gets. Right?" Once this was over Aaron would have to read more about magics other then battle magic.
I stood up, feeling just fine, even after the severe attack I had been submitted to the day before.
"Yeah, let's go."
I looked down at Miyana and saw that she didn't look all that well. Looking into her head, I saw something was contaminated, and it looked like it was magical.
"Hey, guys, someone's put a magical sickness on Miyana. I don't know what it is, but it's strong."
"How is it that every bad guy who wants to stop us knows who and where we are but we don't know them?" Aaron muttered. She let Missiah look her sister over. She noticed the look in Kalanai's eyes.
"What?"
She shook her head, "You're tough. You're tired, really tired I can tell."
Aaron shruged, looked at Missiah and Miyana through the courner of her eye, "I'm the only girl to be taught in the Temple of Serous. I had to show everyone I could. It's gonna get me killed one day, I know."
I looked at Miyana, worried.
"Are you sure?"
My sister nodded and stood up.
"Yes, I'm fine."
Beginning to understand why Kalanai was smiling so much, I began to feel slightly excited myself, knowing that our 'adventure'-our destiny- was soon to begin.
"Well then," I said, "let's go."
Aaron stood up, she was feeling a lot better. Aaron wasn't quiet excited, more like afraid. She had read a lot about wars and thought about them. What the fighters must be thinking.
Seeing the other side running at you, knowing that you can't run away. Knowing that you might be one of the first to die. Or looking at the millions of heads before you. Trying to figure ot where the enemy is before it's to late. For some reason Aaron couldn't stop thinking about it, in her opion that was the scariest thing in the world, the few seconds before the war.
"Well, lets go. The sooner we start, the sooner we can get it over with," Aaron said, trying to keep her fear from showing.
"Miyana's gone. She just disappeared. Goddess Athena, why is all this misfortune coming down upon us?"
Aaron was looking at me strangely and I smiled, shrugging a 'what'.
"What's with the fancy language?"
"Sounds better."
"Ok, whatever."
I laughed, but then remembered what had just happened and calmed down again.
"Ok, now we need to find Miyana."
"She might be back at the rift, thoses guys wanted her to stay, remember?" Aaron fingered the hilt of her sword, knowing the way things worked, all the bad things wouldn't keep happening to the two sisters, soon the bad 'luck' would go over to Kalanai and her.
She shook her head, Stop being selfish!
"Well, Kalanai, if you'll let me stop for a second, I can try and find her. But, someone might have hidden her in a place where I can't find her, even with my psychic abilities."
I knew I was being slight short and mean, but this was my sister we were talking about, here.
"Well, then, look, Missiah," Kalanai said, impatiently.
Sitting down on the ground, I sent out a call to Miyana and was surprised when I found her so soon. It was too soon. Almost like bait to get at someone else.
"I found her," I said, coming out of my trance, "but I think it may be a trap. I found her too quickly. She's trapped inside her own subconcious, in a dream state. She'll be fine and we'll be able to bring her back if we can find the body. But, we'll have to brave the trap that I know is there. Are you two up to it?"
Kalanai nodded and Aaron gave me a quiet, "Yes."
"Well then, let's get started. Kalanai, does your elemental magic include control over the winds? Because maybe we can send it out to look for Miyana's body."
Before Kalanai could answer Aaron said quickly. "I go in first. Draw their attention while you get Miyana. I've been a lot of traps and outnumbered in fights before. Most likly the first Miyana we see either isn't the real one or we can't get to her." She waited for their answer, half expecting them to say no, that they couldn't make her do that and go back to talking. Even if they did no Aaron would do it. She hated not being able to do anything, simply having fighting magic wasn't a big help here and now.
"Ok, as long as it finds her somehow," I said, too worried about my sister to really hear what my tone was like. Deciding to add something a little nicer to soften anything that may have come out wrong, I smiled. "Thanks for doing this Kalanai. I really appreciate it."
As they waited for the winds to come back Aaron stretched. Fortunatly Aaron had the chance to limber up before this trap. Kalanai looked at her, "You act as if you've been in traps before."
"Yep, tons of them. Broke bones got bones broken. I am the expert on traps!" Aaron said the last part dramaticaly before going back to stretching and going over everything that could happen and go wrong in her head.
I felt a slight tug on my spirit String that only Miyana would've been capable of doing and smiled. Calling back to her through the string, I was dissappointed when I couldn't get through to her. Kalanai looked at my sudden changes in emotion and asked, "Missiah, what's wrong?"
"I just felt Miyana trying to call me, but I couldn't get back to her. Your wind won't be able to help. She's in another dimension, or, as you said earlier, a rift of time or space. The only way to find her is to talk to my father. Come on. Hold on to my arms-we're entering the psychic realms."
Sending my mind out into the second realm, I was anxious about my friends until I saw their's enter, too.
"To enter the next realm, just picture what you think it looks like and send your mind there. Whatever you do, don't let go of me until we reach my father. If you let go, you will be trapped her for a very long time."
Aarn didn't like this, she had no right to be here.
She pictured the other realm as a garden, beautiful. With millions flowers and so on.
Picturing the next realm to be a beautiful castle garden, I pushed my mind forward, taking it to the next level. Turning around to wait for Kalanai and Aaron, I knew they would make it, but was still very relieved when I saw them.
"Ok, guys, the next level is the person you love most in the world. Picture them and send your mind forward. But make sure that it is the person you love the most, or you will be trapped here, in level 2."
Aaron's mind went completely blank, "Ummmm, Missiah...." Aaron trailed off.
"How about Famorn?"
"He's my teacher, I teacher I like, but not even remotly a father figure...maybe I should go back..."
I pictured my father in my head and stepped forward into the next realm. Almost immediately, I saw Kalanai come through, but Aaron wasn't coming after her. Giving her mind a slight helpful tug, I brought her up to the third level and smiled.
"Whew, Aaron, that was tough for ya, wasn't it? Alright, fourth level. Picture your worst trait and then use your anger at yourself to get through. Do not try too hard, but try enough to get through, ok?"
Aaron smiled slightly as she thought of her worst trait. Her face hardened to stone soon after as she thought about it.
She didn't give up, she got things done even if it killed her.
One of the teachers, one that hated her with all of his being, was showing her one-on-one combat with batons. He was far more skilled then she was then, she had asked that he not hold anything back.
He would fight her until she strugled to get up, then he'd ask if she wanted to stop. And she would say no, that she was okay. He knew that she would say no every time she was asked.
Aaron glanced behind her becasue of the tugging she was feeling. Her String turn a plum color.
"Uhhhh, guys...." she trailed off when she saw their Strings turning colors as well.
"Miyana is calling us. We have to hurry to my father. Kalanai, please don't turn cynical now. Please."
Picturing my worst trait, the fact that I trust too easily, I pushed my mind forward and into the next level. As in the other levels, Kalanai and Aaron came soon afterwards.
"Guys, Miyana is calling even more. We have to hurry. Alright, I hate to do this, but I have to take you guys there. Hold on tight."
Grabbing Aaron and Kalanai's hands, I pushed my way through the levels and then finally reached the ninth, tired, worn out, and with a huge headache.
"Missiah, what brings you here?"
I smiled and raised my head from the 'ground'.
"Hello father. We need to save Miyana."
Aaron looked at the little orb of light that was Missiah's father.
She felt her String being pulled at again. Aaron grabed her String and tried to send something down it, to Miyana. A feeling a calm, and thought We're coming, something!
"Well, Missiah, I know where she is and I can send you there, but it won't be easy. She is heavily guarded by the people who want the rift to remain. All three of you will fight very hard and be unable to close the rift for three days after the fight. Are you willing to accept those conditions? Because, if you don't, you'll never be able to close the rift."
I looked around at Aaron, who nodded, and then Kalanai who acknowledged her acceptance.
"We'll do it father. Send us there, please."
Grabbing onto my string, I sent a message to Miyana saying, 'Father is sending us to you, Miyana. We will be there soon.'
My father nodded and we were surrounded by a bright purple light. I felt the sensation of travelling through the realms and then out of them. Grabbing my sword as the light dissipated, I looked around at my surroundings and then at my companions, who were doing the same thing.
"Missiah, use your tie with Miyana to find her," I heard my father say.
Searching for my sister using our psychic tie, I located her and pointed in that direction.
"She's this way. Prepare to fight, people."
"Hey, let the decoy through. I'll stall them, you find her," Aaron smiled and politly pushed in front. They walked in the forst until they were on the edge of a very large clearing. Miyana was in the middle, floating in the air.
Aaron took a deep breath.
"Wish me luck." Was all she said before running full out toward Miyana. She ran in a zig-zag patteren.
Suddenly Aaron flying through the air, she rememeber a loud boom and a flash of light.
She hit a tree and got up as fast as she could, sword ready. Nothing happened.
Aaron shook her head and called to the others.
"Alright, I'm gonna try again. Try to find what did that. They might do it again."
This time Aaron ran in a straight line. She glanced up at the sky, hoping to see whatever it was before it blew up.
She didn't.
"Well, obviously. The explosions that just nearly killed Aaron didn't come from nothing, Kalanai," I said, jokingly.
Watching Miyana, I tried to contact her through our contact string.
Miyana, we're right here. We're coming to get you, Miyana. We'll be there soon.
Suddenly, another explosion rocked the clearing and I saw Aaron go flying again.
"Aaron, you ok?" I called.
"Yeah," she said, nodding. Stading up, she ran ahead, acting as our decoy while we got Miyana.
"Alright, Kalanai, here we go."
Aaron couldn't help feeling a little stupid. She stoped and looked for whatever was blowing up.
She didn't see it. Aaron was thrown into a tree again. She whiped a thing line of blood away from her mouth and shouted to the others.
"Can you see where those things are coming from?" Kalanai shook her head. Aaron growled under her breath and ran out into the clearing again.
I nodded and looked up at Miyana, who floated in the middle of the clearing.
I didn't know there was two of me. I heard Miyana's voice resound in my head. But, as I watched the floating Miyana, I noticed that she hadn't moved at all.
"Kalanai, you did say that the lightning hit something alive, right? And familiar?"
Kalanai nodded.
"Send one up to Miyana. Tell me if it's real."
Kalanai looked at me strangely, but nodded and did what I asked. When the lightning bounced back, she looked very stange.
"It's not alive. Miyana is not there. She must be the person I am feeling."
I nodded and smiled. "Miyana must be somewhere else."
Sending out a brain signal, I looked all over for my sister. When something bounced back from just outside a tree on the other side of the clearing, I laughed.
"We've found her, Kalanai! She's on the other side of the clearing!"
Kalanai nodded and shouted for Aaron.
"Aaron, come back. That's a decoy Miyana. Come back!"
Once Aaron was back with us, I pointed in the direction I had felt Miyana's presence and we walked in that direction.
"Alright, everyone, be very careful."
"Alright, I'm getting tired of being blown up," Aaron muttered.
"We're going around the clearing? Through the woods?" Missiah and Kalanai nodded.
"Let's go then," Aaron said and let the other two go before her. She rubbed her ribs gingerly as they walked. She must have done something to them, they hurt a lot.
"I'm fine," Aaron said noticing Kalanai's look.
I looked at Aaron and shook my head. She shouldn't be working herself this hard because she was really beginning to hurt herself.
As they slowly walked around the edge of the clearing Aaron tried to look everywhere at once. She tried to see what had sent those bombs into the clearing.
I looked around, trying to find Miyana and finally spotted her, next to a tree deeper into the woods.
"Look, there she is."
Miyana, if you can hear this, wave slightly. We're coming to get you. I can see you by that tree.
Miyana waved, looking around trying to find them.
"I say we run for it, we can see her and they apperently don't know what we're doing," Aaron said.
I saw Miyana walk in the other direction from where we were coming and shouted to her through our string.
No, Miyana! We're in the other direction! Come on, Miyana! Turn around!
Looking at Kalanai, I raised my eyebrows and hoped that Miyana heard me.
Since they weren't moving Aaron crouched down and waited. She looked at the Miyana floating in the center, she hadn't moved.
"This doesn't seem right, whoever got Miyana should be trying to stop us. Unless they can't see us in the woods." Kalanai nodded and they both cast a leery eye around.
*i'm changing to 3rd person*

Missiah looked up at her sister and waved.
"What do you want Aaron to pull on Miyana?"
"Maybe we should actually go over there. Instead of yelling at her," Aaron said and jogged toward Miyana.
"So d'you got for me?"
Miyana handed Aaron a necklace.
"Is there any special reason for giving me this?" Aaron asked, before putting it on.
Missiah rolled her eyes and began to braid her hair, which was really getting in the way of everything. Than, she pulled out her katana and checked to see that the braid was tight enough.
"Alrighty then," she said, "I'm beginning to think that someone is calling us here or something. Cause this definately ain't something that happens everyday."
Aaron was now holding the necklace at arms length, "No offense, but I suddenly don't trust this thing." She looked around at where they were.
"Well the obvious thing to do would start walking, the hard thing is which way?"
"Good idea, Miyana," Missiah said kindly. "There's only one problem. We have no idea where the rift is from here."
"Hmmm," Aaron muttered, "A giant riddle, well it can't be a riddle becasue there are no clues. Sorry, that didn't help."
Missiah watched the bird closely and then smiled brightly.
"What is it, Missiah?" Miyana looked slightly confused as to why her sister could laugh at a time like this.
"That bird tells us exactly where we are. It is a Kliouyht and they only fly in the magical Green Vale Forest. The rife is south of here!"
