This Friday marks the last week end of October and, for a lot of places, the last of autumn. As I approach the end of the year with the chill of winter I have bittersweet thoughts of knowing how little time I have left. There are regrets but I'm not going to water last years' crops with my tears. Those mistakes taught me some dear lessons. The most important lesson was how much family means to me.
I've raised my sons to respect others and provide well for their own families. They've done a good job. I've loved my wife since the day we met, and I still think she's the best thing that ever happened to me. I have some years left. I'm thankful I'm in good health for now, though my body is saying, " Hold My Beer. "
