Hearts Of Stone

How do I stop my heart
And say it's all over now
There's no more wasting time
And forget about you somehow

Maybe you can show me how
You can forget about everything
You can just forget about us
Like all my pain is nothing

I really don't recall
The curve of your lips
The shape of your chin
Those cute fingertips

I really don't remember
The curve of your hips
The shape of your nose
The moisture on your lips

So why can't I let go
Maybe let a heart in

And live again

How do I tell my heart
It was a foolish thing
Holding on to your words
When I was denied everything

Maybe you can show me how
You can give your heart away
After all those beautiful words
I whispered to you everyday

I really don't recall
The color of your hair
The sound of your voice
Like music everywhere

I really don't remember
Your pretty eyes so bright
Sitting there so close to me
How it all felt so right

So why can't I let go
Maybe let a heart in

And live again
