Blue Glass

I recall standing outside
Watching through the glass
With the pain in my heart
Darkness from my lonely past

All these sad broken people
Somehow I can sure relate
A lifetime of unrequited love
Most of the time finding hate

Watching her float past
Such a beautiful thing
Just like the morning sun
She makes my heart sing

Standing there
Looking through

The blue glass

I recall standing outside
Looking up at the glass
After all these lonely years
She's the light from my past

So many things have changed
So many things are the same
Still carrying love around
For someone I can't name

Wonder where she is now
Still such a beautiful thing
After all she's done for me
I hope there's love and a ring

Standing there
Looking up at

The blue glass
