A Buddhist told me something embarrassing to pigs and apes, so I wrote a story about it. |
So one day a pig was in the woods. She walked and walked. Suddenly down from a tree of wild pomegranates came an ape. She stared at him and he stared at her. He was muscular and well built. She admired him. "Hey there," said the pig. The ape said, "Hello?" "Your nice," said the pig. "Hmmmm..." the ape got down on the pig's level and looked in her eye. He wanted this to continue. She leaned in on him and he caressed her with his paw. From back to front it went. She moaned, "OOOHH!" Ook Ook said the ape... They made love on the spur of the moment and it was official. They walked to gather for days until the day the baby came. When the baby came at first the small black thing crawled and then walked. When it came time for it to leave it was brighter than any pig or ape or any animal. It came to a wise old who was the chief of the ape's tribe and asked for the blessing when it was time for it to leave its parents. The blessing came, "You shall be an abomination of an animal. So you will have to be responsible so I make you the boss of all things. Even the earth and seas shall cave to you. You shall be caretaker of all things. Sometimes snake and canine except for the dog who will always be your friend shall trick you. But always teach you. Sometimes cat will befriend sometimes she will run from you. Sometimes you will drink the milk of the cow and goat other times you will eat the egg of bird." "You shall feel things that no other animal will be able to know. The best of you will have felt no one not even you can explain. Sometimes you will war. You will tame fire. Even brother shark and brother lion will bow to you. But you may abuse your power you will be so great. At these times nature shall rebel against you!" "You will sing like a bird and dance like a bee. You will build things that will put the termites to shame. You will set fire to the sky if your not careful. You may make war worse than any ape. You may eat more than any pig." "You will forget the speech of animals and learn your own..." "What will you call yourself?" The child said, "I name myself MAN!" And that is how man was born into this world... by accident and he must remember that because he may kill himself by accident... The fire he sets may burn him... he is not blessed but simply lucky... and out of that luck he should be grateful to the universe! |
