Knowing When to Leave Writing Com

160 words

Big Daddy was having breakfast in the Cosmos Club in Bangkok, Thailand. Big Daddy, an ex-football star with the University of Arkansas and the Dallas Cowboys, was a retired CIA operative who ran the club but still did contract work with the agency from time to time. He was also a money launderer, drug smuggler, and human trafficker. He had contacts in both high and low places all over the world.

He had met the mysterious Maria Lee, the rumored mistress of the North Korean leader who had come to him to launder stolen money and he had a one-night stand. But he knew that it was time to leave her and end the affair.

He finished up his blueberry muffin and coffee and checked his pocket watch. It was time he whispered to himself to end the affair and sat down on his old typewriter to write a “Dear Jane” letter to Miss Lee ending the affair.
