A type of sidewalk poem about winter and spring. A new form of poetry. |
Wintertime is Out Motes of sparkling dust now disperse, Leaving havoc in every place. Trees mutter Trees mutter in silent verse, "Wintertime is such a disgrace!" Flowers whisper Flowers whisper a furious rant On choking hugs of wintertime's chill. Plants agree finally "Agreed." Comes from the dying plants Strangle in coldness, until... Wintertime is out. Springtime is In Mother Nature's colossal canvas is now set As springtime colors spread in every sheet . Trees grow vibrant crowns Trees grow crown. They're no longer upset When birds sing a song so dear and sweet. Flowers bloom a million hues Flowers bloom in million colors and hues While busy bees and butterflies tickle each pollen grain. Plants sprout Tiny sprouts lie like carpet adorned with vibrant dews. A new start as life buds anew again... Springtime is in. Poem created from refrains: Wintertime is out, Trees mutter, Flowers whisper, Plants agree finally Wintertime is out. Wintertime is in, Trees grow vibrant crowns Flowers bloom a million hues Plants sprout because Wintertime is in Author's Note: ▼ 1. a two-part poem, each displaying a contrast or parallel of events, ideas, objects, feelings, emotions, etc. 2. each of the two parts is made up of four closed tercets, each tercet is composed of a short main line followed by an indented couplet. 3. each of the two parts end with a single-line refrain.
