Center of Attention

My best friend's house is full of kids
(one bathroom for all seven)
and in comparison, my home
is something more like heaven

There's three of us - mom, dad, and me
with bathrooms one for each
both bedroom and a playroom, mine,
and June trips to the beach

My clothes are never hand-me-downs
My food is never shared
My mother hurries straight to me
when late at night, I'm scared.

It's what I want on the TV
I cause no sibling tension;
it's never any work to be
the center of attention!
