National Walking Day

It's National Walking Day
I think I will walk to a cafe
or to the store like Mary Tyler Moore.
and throw my straw hat on the floor.

I will walk my husky dog.
I will not go fast like a jog.
I will time it with my watch.
And not be doing kids' hopscotch.

But when I've gone about a mile
Then I'll show my winner's smile.
I could even marathon walk
and carry my phone so I can talk.

So will you walk with me?
I hope that you can see.
How healthy you can be.
Then tomorrow we will walk to our Tai Chi.
