Whoever knew life could be this peaceful.

1:49 AM was never the best time to go on a walk, but here I am. All alone, on my way to the beach that's just a mile away from my house. It felt so lonely out there alone, and besides the roaring winds that were messing up my hair, it was quiet. So quiet. Quiet. Like it always was at this time.

Maybe I just needed to feel the cold sand under my shoes, or hear the beautiful waves. Too much on the mind was never good for me, it'd stress me out easily. Though once I reach that little peaceful place, I'd be just fine. I was starting to get a bit cold though, so it was best if I stayed there for only a little while. If I catch a cold then god knows how long I'd take to recover.

Finally getting there, I was able to walk near the shore. It was so peaceful here, I never wanted to leave. Well, not like I'd have to. After all, who'd come looking for me? Who would even care? Not like I have anyone to come home to, even if I did why should I care. Life hasn't brought me any joy in so fucking long, why should I give a fuck what anyone cares. Does anyone even care in the first place? If so, fuck them. I can stay out here all I want and be happy. I could even die out here, while it may be a bit cold it's still better than rotting away in an empty, cold, lonely fucking box. At least.. Out here I'll be-

Click.

Darkness, complete darkness. Hearing my light flick off wasn't that great, and I never liked the darkness. Though with the headset on I can at least pretend I'm still there with my eyes closed. Scanning the floor with my hands, I look for my phone to have at least a little light. Stupid power, why'd it even go out this time. Why couldn't it just stay on and let me stay in my little made-up world.

Real-life is so horrible. I want my virtual one back.
