Out of sight out of mind
Out of sight, out of mind...
How many times have we heard this phrase, is there any truth to it?

Let’s take an addict for instance, addiction is a strong need to regularly have something.
A dependency, a crave, habit, weakness an enslavement in Laymen's terms
Does the addict not crave nor desire, because whatever they are addicted to is out of sight?
” I think not!”

Does a parent forget about their child because their child is out of sight, do the loved ones mourning forget about their deceased loved ones?
I cannot utilize that term as a positive one simply because my perception about it is that the phrase is vague. My goals are physically out of sight, but they are not out of mind,
Yesterday the term was stated to me during a conversation, although I could understand the context in which it was used, I can’t express enough just how bad it rubbed me.
Am I the only person that has this perception of this phrase?
