Armour

I will protect you,
Your gentle spirit
That desires endless days.

Rivals will seek a haven though,
Settling inside of your heart
And corrupt you through and through.

Warped psyches will never do.
You know where I've been left.
I know you can find me.

I have diverse components,
Each for a specific purpose.
Use my shield of faith,

To keep the darts
Of the wicked at bay.
Use my helmet to protect what the Lord gives.

With the spirit's sword, the word of the Lord
You can establish a safe zone,
Closing you inside the love of God.

As dawn awakes you,
Don me faithfully
Until the endless days are yours.
