When you want the earth to swallow you whole, but instead you sink down to meet it.

When you want the earth to swallow you whole, but instead you sink down to meet it.

This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!
The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
Very simple concept really, whether by curse, disease or experiment, a person will shrink when they experience stress, embarrassment or anger (most negative emotions really, those just have the strongest effect), growing back eventually with calming atmosphere and positive emotions slightly speeding up the process.

Inspired by some RP ideas batted back and forth by myself and Croft as well as general discussions. Hence why this is no longer called shrinking violets.

Also came across this while checking nobody had done this before, link only because it amused me they were doing basically the exact opposite https://www.writing.com/main/interactive-story/item_id/1538713-Shrinking-in-exci...

Rules/Guidelines

Anyone can be a 'varying violet', male or female and basically any age
Focus on the singular effected character (which is why the selection process is series, character, how) though depending on HOW it happened another could be effected later down the line.
Minimum size is about 4 inches for most people, maybe 2 for a person who's short even when normal size or a child
Size jumps, especially with shrinking are part of how this idea works, but don't make huge leaps, no 6ft to 1ft, or 4ft to 4inches. They can loose a lot of height quickly if the situation calls for it, but it has to be incremental.
Clothing doesn't shrink or grow with them, unless there's an in universe explanation/example, like the DNA based hero outfits in My Hero that change size with Mt Lady and phase with Lemillion.
Those effected don't have to shrink when feeling all negative emotions, it can be only a specific one, but unless stated in a previous chapter, assume all options (anger, stress, embarrassment, fear, nerves etc) are on the table and can cause them to shrink. It can be changed to a single trigger, but only if multiple causes haven't already been used in this storyline (as in if someone shrinks in anger in the 4th chapter, you can't say only embarrassment causes them to shrink in the 9th chapter, but you can say in this example that ONLY anger causes them to shrink)
m/F, f/F and f/M interactions are fine, minimal if any m/M interactions/content please [Ask before making options or writing chapters with M/m content, I'll probably let you if you actually are going to DO something with it, I just won't be adding to it]
Minimal violence, or at least nothing too graphic
Sex is encouraged, especially when they're tiny

For the most part I'm a pretty easygoing author, so very few things flag in my brain as big no no's (This may change in the future, but unlikely)
No scat or urine, at all.
