There's a place where people go to unage themselves.
“There’s a place in this mountain where people go to unage themselves,” says my friend as we sip our drink.
“Unage? What do you mean?” I ask.
“To reverse your age you could say,” he explains.
“Where did you hear such nonsense?”
It’s true, he says. He has come across accounts from people who witnessed this miracle. There’s a village at the foot of this mountain. And there comes a stage in every villager’s life when he/she has to climb the mountain and find that place. It occurs mostly when you turn 60 and you’re still able to move your legs and climb.
The elders climb the mountain and don’t return for years. But nobody worries about them. And on one fine day, they return to their homes, turned young and sprightly like a teenager.
“That’s ridiculous,” I comment.
“Even if it is. Let’s believe that such a place does exist. Would you go searching for it?”
I ponder on it for a while. “I don’t think so,” I say.
“Do you know what this means?” He says. “You get a chance to relive the years of your youth. All those years when you could achieve whatever you set your mind on and get laid with gorgeous girls“
That’s what I’m afraid of. I’m afraid of going through it all over again.”
“Many people will think otherwise,” he says.
We pay for the drink and head towards our respective homes.
The place where people go to unage themselves. Pretty interesting, I think on my way back home.
If someone had to torture me, they wouldn’t have to use those exquisite instruments. They should just take me to this place and make me unage. Reliving the years of my youth is the worst torture I can ever bear.
