Minus Willingness

International Peace
Eludes the world.
Beginning with us
And those around us.

We disagree with one another
In this issue and that.
We stand firmly for our right
To believe what and how we want.

There's little thought of compromise
Or also of wish to give in.
So it goes,
From one home to another.

From one city to the next,
From one country to those
Around them, and to those
Across the oceans.

And so peace eludes us,
Eludes us all.
