Morning Woes

I woke up from a sound sleep in panic! I forgot to put the clothes in the dryer! Grabbing my clock I checked the time knowing I had to be out the door at six-o-five at the latest to get to work on time. It was five-fifteen! Why didn’t my alarm clock go off? I literally leaped out of bed.

First down to the washing machine. Hoping the dryer could dry everything in time, but then, just to be sure, I left half the clothes in the washer, only drying what I needed. I got that going, then bolted for the shower.

No time to dry my hair so I wrapped it in a towel to keep it dry, cursing myself again for forgetting to buy a new shower cap.

Breakfast was a peanut butter sandwich because I didn’t want to take the time to actually toast the bread, no coffee but I could get some at work, and frankly my adrenalin was doing a better job anyway.

Back to the dryer finally and got an outfit together that worked and was actually wonderfully not wrinkled coming straight out of the dryer! I’ll have to remember that! Teeth brushed, makeup on, hair looking a bit flat, but dry! And, I was off!

Actually made it out of the house at five of six so I’d not only be on time, I’d probably even get a good parking spot! And I did!

As I sat there in literally the best parking spot I’d ever gotten, I remembered my dream. I dreamt it was Wednesday, and we were having the Borsteen meeting at eight. It was really important, and I had to be ready. And, I was ready!

Unfortunately, it was Sunday.
