it's simple I am a bird, but did you see me today?
I am a bird and I soar through the skies
I eat seeds the old lady gives me
I watch people from ground to sky

I look from the window and see
Little brothers and sisters being born
I look from the skies and see planes
gliding past me

I go to fairs and see food galore
I sit on fences and watch
I see children eating cotton candy
Mommies rocking babies softly

After a long day, I sit on a cloud and look down
To the world around
And I start to think
Did they notice?

Did anyone see me?
Could they hear my laughter?
My tears? My joy? My pain?

No of course not I am just a bird
A bird who should not feel
A bird that can not feel

I am a bird and I soar through the skies
I eat seeds the old lady gives me
I watch people from ground to sky
