Love is truly everywhere, the giving of ourselves is such an easy share.
Where is love found?
We simply need to look around.

A rescued puppy in a little boys arms,
cuddled, now sheltered from further harm.

A wheelchair bound widow, up my street,
dons a radiant smile, a grandson gifts her chocolate treats.

Elderly man cautiously walks with silver handled cane.
His tiny wife, shares a hand and umbrella in cool rain.

Mother bends close to a little girl by a lily pond,
studying a treasure rock she has found.

A couple stroll leisurely on a sidewalk,
holding hands, touching heads to talk.

A tearful man sits quietly by a hospital bed.
Strong hand strokes a tiny boy on his bluish bald head.

Two monkeys caged in a open area zoo,
Sharing nuts, adoring looks while picking bugs too.

Maybe if someone hasn’t known this emotion,
They can’t appreciate these signs of devotion.

For those my heart grieves. From birth to death,
feelings of love are a splendid reason for breath.
