Failed Resolve: A Finer Pleasure

Rolling with the merciful tunes -
Radical sympathies and maddening failures -
Looking calmly at the policies
Of the near and long term.
Strengthening the baseless authenticity
Of a callously crude voting style;
Wrecking the spirit of a society
Amid the clear and rampant,
Open possibility of wild crimes
Which don’t require replacement. 

The extent to which mail-in solutions
Can be altered in 2024
Now emerges for the world’s
Most established power. 

Biden seeks strategic, less liberal
Picks in his conceptualization
Of a more human executive branch. 

And Trump downplays his clearly
Doubtful, but improving hand
In postponing the news to the stunned
And sad citizens of this nation,
That this inevitable climb
Up the doorstep might continue
In potentially criminal,
Poised fashion.
