In praise of the summer solstice.
I am north latitude seeking the sun;
an inner fire to warm us is here.
Praise summer solstice at once everyone.

Spring’s letting go is essentially fun;
cookouts and beach chairs and warm nights appear.
I am north latitude seeking the sun.

Battle for day against night has been won;
and to reach the peak, the sun makes it clear.
Praise summer solstice at once everyone.

Cold winter winds are indeed on the run;
a new moon rising is something to cheer.
I am north latitude seeking the sun.

Earth has a tilt that is second to none;
we pay attention with nothing to fear.
Praise summer solstice at once everyone.

Very elated dog days have begun;
the longest day is a welcome frontier.
I am north latitude seeking the sun;
praise summer solstice at once everyone.
