A Moment

There is nothing more important than yourself, thought the boy sitting at the edge of the cliff. The sun slowly descending and bystanders looking curiously towards the boy. A gentle breeze brushed through his hair swiping all the thoughts away.

A moment of silence.

A sudden buzz floods all the thoughts back. He reaches for the device in his pocket and the screen reveals a message from ‘Mum’ that reads “Dinner is ready, don’t be too long. Xx”. With a sigh the boy gets up and begins walking back, the bystanders now seemingly relieved.
