Hear
the breeze
sifting through
the swaying trees,
caressing bodies,
with gentle warmth on skin.
Feel it increasing in force,
picking up speed and raising dust
blowing harder, swirling, whirling wind,
thrusting against me as I walk along.
Grasses are lowering beneath its strength,
and branches flop in a frantic dance.
Then time deflates this awesome force.
Dying down, reluctantly,
its gentle lullaby
blows across the lawn.
Whispering sweet,
it tiptoes
across
skin.
