Clarity

As the sky grows dark, they hear him ask why he's forsaken.
But they could not see the clarity, the break from the insanity,
The realization that he's human and nothing's left to save him.
And before the sun breaks through, he knows his future is without him.
And then the point is clear, that he no longer matters
Because as a human he will die, but the image lives forever.
