This short letter is inspired by the novel Wuthering Heights, but it is not exact.
Inspired by the novel, Wuthering Heights, by Emily Bronte:

Why did you go, my love? Why did you choose riches over happiness? You have only encouraged my demons to answer their silent pain. Do not say that I am the “devil,” you do not understand me as you were not born like me!
You might take me for a murderous fellow, but my intentions are simply for you. Do not fret that I have lost my head, I am simply out for revenge against the pitiful weakling you call husband and your brother who ruined my life. I don’t mean to be “uncultured,” but I see it in your judgmental eyes that you recognize their faults just as well as I do.
Now you lay dying in your own chamber from the spoiled man whom you have chosen to marry. How is it that I am to be blamed for both of your poor choices? Even Nelly, a Christian woman, cannot see any good in me anymore!
Are you happy, now that we’re both unhappy? But the difference between us is that one is peacefully dead, while the other suffers to live on in his miserable existence as his own family wishes him dead! I must mention I wouldn’t be surprised if I were to be assassinated in my own chamber.
I find that you have driven me mad even in death - why am I writing to a deceased person! But as I continue to remain alone on this desolate earth, waiting patiently for my judgment day to come, and hearing your angelic voice beckoning me to the moors, I begin to wonder if my revenge plans were worth the hassle and years of isolated misery; all of which came to nothing - nothing!
But soon we will both be together, resting six feet under, for who said death could separate us, my love?

                   -Yours only, H
