Across the Bridge of Hope

Across the bridge of hope,
I sit beneath a willow tree,
pondering what life might be like
were it not for choices made.

Across the bridge of hope,
I think about where I might be
had I heeded the advice given
and followed the path others chose.

Across the bridge of hope,
I see a light at the end of
a dark and painful past
that could easily have killed me.

Across the bridge of hope,
I feel the love of a Savior
who stepped into my life to
save me from eternal hell.

Across the bridge of hope,
I thank God above in heaven
for the friends that surround me,
carrying me through the best and worst.

Across the bridge of hope,
I see brighter days ahead,
full of hopes and dreams to chase
with the confidence of my faith.
