Creative Prompt #2-Unrequited Love Poem

This proposition leads me to ponder, considerably, what on earth do I write?! One, poetry is not my thing. Two, I've been exuberantly married to my husband for over 20 years. And he absolutely adores me! It's a rare thing. So I may just have to flip this. Now, how to write a poem?

It was 1995, I met a man
In '96, We fell for each other
1997, our marriage began
Then '98, a new chapter, my lover

1999, moving again
2000, trying for a family and greatly blessed
He arrived in '01, our family began,
2002, our family expanded! another boy in our midst

2003 '04 '05 busy years with little boys
In '06, another boy and our family's complete!
2007 my man found his health
Settled by '08 to the rhythm of the family life beat

2009 the homeschooling years begin
2010 2011 2012 years flying by
2013 bringing home baby to school at home
'14 and '15 years of hunting, camping, loving, living life

2016 my oh my! a new driver in the house!
2017 rediscovering our date nights, our marriage, ourselves
2018 AnOTHER driver! We're on the way
Finally now, 2019, our hearts are truly ONE
