Honoring You

   

We don't even know each other, but you protect me from harm.

You have done what is expected of you, more than enough, more than most.

You say goodbye to those you love, those you hold dear to your heart.

You hold strong and steadfast because you believe in protecting them.

You go into battle armed and ready, not knowing what lies ahead of you.

With strength and courage upon your heart, knowing the Mighty Lion is with you.

A Mighty Warrior you are, who deserves honor and praise.

I give you love, thankfulness, and appreciation for your love and protection.

I shall never forget the things you gave to me, the sacrifices you made.

For we don't even know each other, for you to give your life to protect me.

I want to say thank you and that I love you, forevermore.
