A mountain valley abloom in Spring
My childhood from which these memories spring
An adventurous boy beneath the sky ocean blue
Braving the heat from which the sunflowers grew
The final time an elder prays
A cold hospital bed is where he lay
Comforting to his final breath
He is solely at peace with his own death
A life we live, A life I hope to pay
Tithes of my happiness to all led astray
From the gentle warmth of true loves embrace
The place in my heart where the sunflowers face
For when I gaze into your sweet eyes
And see that smile, life's grand prize
I view clearly all of Gods' creation
Within you, I see, life's procreation
